Chapter 4 The closest pizza was about six blocks away, and the Seattle-gray skies had decided to shift over to a cold midday rain. Valerie led E-Squared at a near trot the block and a half to her adoptive uncle’s deli. They stood beneath the forest green awning and tried to shake off the worst of the inundation.
