I stayed with Eden in the greenhouse after Lottie and Maddox left. She looked so sad. I pulled her in close and held her. I planned on telling her something sweet, something to reassure her. “Eden, just so you know. You stink.” I laugh. “You’re no better.” She responds, laughing with me.
