Eden’s POV I follow Ara as we drop her son Brandon off at kindergarten. Then we walk, we walk and walk some more. My feet are throbbing. “How much further is it?” I whine at her. “Another mile,” she says. I groaned. “Nobody asked you to come. It would be faster for me to shift and I could run there. But I don’t know how the horses will react to you. Or how your wolf will react to them!” she says, glaring at me. “I know, but I wanted to show Nix that I am not useless.” “Well, you tagged on to the wrong person if you wanted a simple day.” She says. “Brandon has one parent who has to provide for him.” “You were the only person who could withstand my aura.” I said sadly.
