"Kerrrae...rkkkk!"
The (Peak) Tier 1 zombie shrieked, its eyes shining red with rage as it dashed towards Legion.
"The f**k!!!"
Alec exclaimed as the zombie charged towards Legion.
At that moment, Alec realized he had foolishly underestimated the danger of a (peak) Tier 1 zombie attack.
He thought he could easily handle it, but now he saw how wrong he was.
He couldn't keep up with the lightning-fast movements of this (peak) Tier 1 speed demon zombie; if he had faced the zombie, he might have been diced up countless times.
Legion, on the other hand, remained unfazed.
With its circular shield in front and a spear by its side, he patiently waited for the zombie to collide against its defenses.
But things went differently than planned.
The zombie quickly changed its movement mid-run and attacked from the side instead, abandoning the frontal charge it had initiated.
"This fucker is too intelligent for my liking; how the f**k are kids like us left to take care of a monster like this? It's almost in the tier 2 realm,"
Arthur whispered to Alec, feeling a tingling sensation on his scalp as he watched Legion’s clash with the zombie-like two Mini overlords.
To everyone's surprise, Legion effortlessly blocked the zombie's sneak attack aimed at its waist, using the spear to clash with its claws and knock it back.
"Yes, bro, trash that bitchy zombie a*s!"
Arthur shouted, pumping his fist in the air with an excited expression.
Seeing Legion gain the upper hand and display its superior strength gave Arthur renewed confidence and helped alleviate some of his fear of the zombie.
"Wack!"
"Ouch, who did that?"
Arthur turned around, only to find Alec giving him an evil glare.
"Boss, whatever I have done, forgive me, and for this, I am about to commit in advance,"
Arthur quickly apologized, sensing that he already had enough on his plate.
"Don't call my golem your bro, and don't start putting ideas into the heads of the other clansmen," Alec warned, his tone filled with annoyance and authority.
Alec glanced back at the fight, feeling the weight of the situation.
He desperately wanted Titan to join in, but it was clear that Titan couldn't match the zombie's incredible speed; though Titan was strong, letting him join would be utterly useless if he could not even touch him.
"What do I do now?"
Alec pondered, frustration creeping in.
But Just as he was lost in his thoughts, Legion's robotic voice broke the silence.
"Is... that all you..... have?. I must say, I'm....... quite disappointed," Legion taunted.
Alec and the others couldn't believe their ears.
Even Arthur and the girl from the Lanzt family exclaimed in astonishment at the same time.
"Did that Golem just speak?"
Arthur asked, his eyes wide with shock as he turned to Alec for confirmation.
"This isn't the time to question that," Alec replied sternly.
"We need to concentrate on the fight. We're in serious trouble if Legion can't take down the zombie."
With a glance of concern, Arthur inquired,
"What would happen if Legion fails?"
"We'd all be completely wiped out by that zombie. Its speed is unmatched; none of us could keep up," Alec explained, his worries evident.
"By the way, boss, Legion? Really? That's a pretty terrible naming choice; let me handle the names of your cool Golems from now on," Arthur remarked.
Alec didn't miss a beat, smacking Arthur's head in response.
"Enough distractions. Stay focused on the fight," he admonished.
Fueled by anger from Legion's taunting, the zombie surged forward with even greater speed, moving so fast it became a blur to Alec and the rest of the group.
They struggled to keep up as it left a trail of faint afterimages.
Attempting to confuse Legion, the zombie circled, using its multiple afterimages to strike whenever an opportunity presented itself.
But Legion was always alert and swiftly blocking each attack with its shield.
Alec observed each block executed by Legion, noting the golem's growing confidence and diminishing vulnerabilities.
"Legion is integrating Titan's block mastery seamlessly, improving its shield usage and covering its own mistakes," Alec realized, understanding that Legion was using the zombie to hone its skills.
"Alec, I think your golem could use some assistance," Agnes pointed out.
I was concerned that Legion focused solely on defense without launching any counterattacks.
"No, everything is going according to plan. In about five minutes, Legion will start its offensive maneuvers," Alec responded with a self-assured expression.
After realizing what Legion was doing, he partially understood the golem's intentions.
Since He had already deciphered Legion's intentions, he realized he could intervene with a mental command or direct order to kill the Zombie faster.
But Alec saw no reason to do so; He wanted to witness the full extent of his new golem's capabilities and intelligence, especially considering its superiority over Titan in rank.
"How can you be so certain?"
Agnes questioned, her anger evident.
She clenched her fist, ready to knock some sense into Alec, as he often disregarded her suggestions.
However, Knight intervened, placing a hand on Agnes's shoulder.
She glanced back to see him shaking his head silently.
"If you observe closely, you'll notice that Legion has been solely defending without moving from its position; it takes immense strength to withstand those attacks without flinching," Knight explained to Agnes.
Agnes's anger subsided as she realized Knight's point.
"Even though it's allowing itself to be hit, it's clear that the zombie is no match for Legion," she acknowledged.
