Isabel Slade's p.o.v

When I stepped into my son's office and saw that little snake Darcy, I knew I had to get her as far away from tonight as possible, so I asked her to leave. I don't need her asking questions and it getting back to her parents, then my dearest husband. Darcy already snaked her way into my son's bed before, just like her mother snaked her way into my bed. Yes, I caught her and my husband having s3x years ago in my bed. She begged me not to tell her husband and all I could do at that moment, was kick her out of my house. I was so in shock and couldn't believe that my husband could do that to me. She has been smart enough to stay away even though her husband always asks me to come over and attend events with them. Sadly, I believe he has been faithful to her. If not, at least he keeps his indiscretions a secret. I don't think he even knows what his wife and daughter are up to. Darcy tried to get her hooks into Ledger. Luckily, he opened his eyes and was smart enough to kick her to the curb. Even though his father tries to push her towards him, from what I know, he stopped seeing her. It is strictly a working relationship. My dearest husband wants him or Maddox to marry his best friend's daughter, plus he thinks it will be great for business, but what I just found out today is exciting. Darcy's father went bankrupt. Apparently, he owes many people and has a gambling addiction and his wife and daughter have a shopping addiction. Jason doesn't know, because he is too busy balls deep in his wh0res to find anything out. Luckily papa, my father in law is on it and has made sure his son can't give his best friend any money or invest in anything that will jeopardize the Slade companies. Papa actually went to meet with some powerful business men today and said he would be here in time for dinner. I can't wait to hear how the meeting went and for him to see Hannah. He knows how much I have searched for her all of these years. He even hired private detectives to help, but no-one was ever able to find her. Her case was sealed shut. This was a strange situation where money didn't help. I need to know more about where she has been, but for now, I want to show her pictures of her and Ledger when they were little. I want her to learn to trust me. "Hannah, sit here, Ledger, you too, I want to show you two these pictures." I tell them. Ledger sits first and then Hannah sits next to him. Maddox sits on the other side of her and I don't miss the look Ledger gives him. I place the big book half on her lap and the other half on his and point out special pictures to them. I go back to the day she was born. The happiest day of my life after my boys were born. I had just found out my husband was cheating on me and although I wanted a daughter badly, I refused to have more children with Jason. I never let him touch me ever again. Our marriage is a big show. His father won't let him divorce me though. He says he doesn't want to tarnish my name. He just has to make sure he keeps his wh0res a secret and away from me and our boys. He can't be photographed in public or else he loses his inheritance. I am sure people know which doesn't make the no picture agreement any better, but I stayed and do it for my kids.

So when my best friend found out she was pregnant and having a little girl, I was over the moon. "You were such a cute baby", I tell her and she smiles at me and I want to cry. She looks just like Marie. Her spitting image. I watch my son get closer to her. When she smiles, so does he. I purposely show them pictures of them two together. Yes, I am trying to play cupid here and I hope it works. Maddox is staring at his brother in disbelief too. Ledger is a grumpy man and I don't remember when the last time he smiled was. "I remember this" he tells her, pointing at a picture of all of us at an amusement park. He is holding her. "Hannah never wanted to be with anyone except you Ledger. Everywhere that we went, she would ask you to carry her or hold her hand." I tell them and she blushes and Ledger and Maddox laugh. "What about me?" Maddox asks and now it is my turn to laugh. "Ledger wouldn't let anyone get close to her. He always said Hannah can only ever love me. I repeat what he used to say as a child. Hannah looks up at him and smiles. She is perfect. I know she's the one who will complete my son. He just needs to open his heart. I just wish Marie was here with us, but I found her daughter and I will take care of her now.

Hannah's p.o.v

After looking at pictures of me and Ledger as kids and my beautiful mom when she was young, a woman dressed in a maid's outfit comes out and she hands us all a glass of champagne and announces that dinner is served. I look at Mr and Mrs. Danby. Can I drink this? No-one bats an eye. Maybe they don't know that I am only 19. Plus, this is too rich for me. I am not used to this kind of treatment. We follow her into a different room. "Woah" I say. This room is nice. The table is huge. It probably seats about 20 people. Ledger has a chair pulled out for me and I step in and sit down and he sits next to me. Mr and Mrs. Danby sit across from us with Maddox and their mom next to Ledger. An older man walks into the room. "I'm home" he says. "Papa, come here, I have a surprise for you." Isabel says. He walks closer and takes us all in. "Edgar, Paola, what a pleasure it is to see you both again." he says and then looks at me. "And this is?" he asks. "This is Hannah, Marie's daughter, Papa, we finally found her." she says and he smiles. "Of course she is, she looks so much like Marie doesn't she. I am Ledger and Maddox's grandfather. You can call me Papa, just like they do. We are family after all, and that is what you called me when you were little." he says. So this man knew me and my mother as well. Duh, of course he did. Everyone here did, apparently. I smile. He stands right in front of me. "The last time any of us saw you, you were what, a toddler?" he says, and Isabel chuckles. "She was so tiny" she says "and she only wanted to be with Ledger." he says and I look over at Ledger who is looking at me and I feel the blush creep up on my face. "So is the wedding still on?" he asks and Ledgers eyes widen. "Papa, we just found her." Isabel says. I am confused. "What wedding?" I ask and they all suddenly look nervous. "Mom" Ledger says in a warning tone. "Oh hush son, she is going to find out anyways. Hannah, when you were little, your mother and Isabel here arranged your marriage to Ledger." the man says, and I suddenly feel like if I am living in another world. I just met these people today and I am now finding out my marriage has been arranged. Is this truly what my mother wanted? By the looks of those pictures, I would say yes. Ledger is hot and makes me feel things, but I don't know him and he seems like a serious man who looks kind of grumpy. He looks like he has a hard time smiling. Is this really happening to me? I can't even speak. I just sit here, in complete and utter shock. "Is this a joke?" I ask.
