Chapter 5“You!”
“You!”
Rory and Mikayla caught sight of one another in the front cafe area of The Campus Cavern. Mikayla had spoken first, perched on the edge of a high stool near the window, where she clearly spotted Rory from as he ran up the front steps of the establishment. Now that they caught one another’s gazes, they ran towards one another as if it had been years, not weeks, since their last face to face meeting that was not facilitated by a screen. Rory wrapped his arms around Mikayla’s middle while she swayed them both from side to side in a gregarious and nearly violent hug. Their motions were over the top, but they made Rory smile so much his face hurt.
“Oh, I have missed this,” Mikayla said as she let go of the hug and ran her hands down Rory’s arms, squeezing him here and
