Lani and I agree to meet in town. I'm sitting at the bus terminal. A car stops in front of
me and Lani as she comes out of the car.
" Hey, lonely!" She gives me a hug I wasn't expecting, my arms slowly snake around
her, feeling comforted and safe in her embrace. Tears roll down my cheeks, she pats
my back as I silently cry, Lani tries to detach herself from me but I shake my head
negatively and she understands.
" Oh, lonely, what's wrong?" Her voice is full of concern as she coos to me but I sob,
my tears falling on her dark shirt.
I honestly can't remember the last time someone held me like this. After a few more
sobs, I pull away and wipe my tears with the back of my hand.
My friend gently caresses my cheek and ask
" Are you feeling better now?" She always asks that
