I couldn't make out what anyone was saying, the pain was so overwhelming, like nothing I had ever felt before. It felt like my entire body was exploding. Then I heard it, his voice always like honey, crisp and clear through all of the other noise that attacked my ears. "Echo, it's me, it's Ren. Don't fall into the darkness, you have to fight it. Come on. On your hands and knees." He said softly, but I couldn't make my body move. Everything hurt as it locked up intensely, but I felt him grab me and force me forward onto my hands and knees. The pain of him moving me was excruciating, but then started to ease.
