*Sterling's POV*
I watched closely out the window. There were warriors everywhere, some in their human form, others in their wolf form. Once we crossed into Harborwoods territory, the most delicious and antagonizing smell hit me like a freight train. It smelled like the night right after a thunderstorm.
My dad's eyes were foggy, I knew he was mind linking someone, probably the Alpha we were going to see. I waited until his baby blue eyes returned before speaking.
"Dad... dad... DAD!" I almost screamed. I couldn't understand why I was so giddy, I assumed it was the mate bond. He was close, I could feel it.
"Yes Sterling?" came my fathers tender voice.
"He's here." is all I could muster to say before the vehicle we were riding in came to a halt. The door suddenly flew open, and there he was.
The man standing before me had dark chestnut hair that was a little shaggy, but kept short. His eyes were a brilliant shade of green. From where I was sitting he looked to be around 6'5" and muscular. Very muscular. He was holding the door open for my father, my little sister and I. There was a crazy look in his eyes as he looked between the three of us. Missy my younger sister stirred. She was a beauty in her own right. Her short golden hair was cut in a pixie style, her eyes a soft brown. She was only fifteen, but she was always mistaken for being older because, well, she looked older than she actually was.
"Mate" I heard the man standing by the open door hiss.
I just stared at him, he was looking at our sleeping sister confused as to why she hadn't woken up.
"Did he really think she was his mate?" Rose my wolf said inside my mind.
I just shook my head and laughed. As soon as the laugh left my lips, the man at the door whipped his head around and it was like he was seeing me for the first time. "mate" I whispered to myself if he hadn't been a wolf himself he wouldn't have heard it. And like that he entered the SUV and engulfed me in a tight embrace.
His smell was intoxicating, I had my head buried into his body, drinking him in.
My father cleared his throat and like that we broke apart. Embarrassed, my cheeks flushed, my heart was already going a mile a minute and I still needed to figure out who this mystery man was.

*Jasper's POV*
"Jasper!" yelled our head trainer, James. He was strict beyond reproach but this made him one of the best trainers for our pack.
"James, sorry I got distracted" I said, still lost in my own world.
"Our allied Alpha and his daughters will be here soon. I'm charging you with the care of the young ladies. Sterling and Missy." his brass voice boomed. James was old school, he believed that only males should rule a pack, but everyone knew a female daughter was set to take over for briarwood.
"Yes Sir." I said Just as the words left my mouth the SUV carrying our guest came into sight. That is when I was hit with the most alluring aroma. The smell of lilacs filled my nose and before I knew it was running full speed towards the SUV.
"Our mate is in that car" said my wolf Carson as he howled in my head. He had been waiting for over a year to meet her.
"Hopefully she's not stuck up" I said back to him.
The vehicle had just stopped by the time I reached it, and the first thing I thought of doing was ripping the door off its hinges. I opened the door and the smell hit me. There were two beautiful ladies and the Alpha in the back. One was sleeping, I thought she was my mate. I looked deeply at her until the other girl laughed. She had the most gorgeous laugh.
I looked over and that was the end. I crammed myself into the seat beside her, taking her into my arms. She instantly nuzzled into me, and I knew this girl would become my world and everything in it.
Suddenly I heard a sound and my beautiful little mate pulled herself from my arms. Her face flushed. She looked so adorable.
Her father sat there looking quite amused.
"I am Alpha Jackson, this is my daughter Sterling. Future Luna of the Briarwood pack.
"Our mated the is the f***ing future Luna" I said to my wolf before extending my hand to her father.
"Hello, my name is Jasper Blake, I am a warrior of Harborwoods" I said proudly, extending my hand to my mate's father.
Alpha Jackson shook my hand laughing, then said "Welcome to the family young man."
