I stood there staring at these strangers, trying to understand what was happening. “It is hardly my fault that rogues attacked,” I said angrily. “If you were not here, we would not have had a rogue attack! We never see rogues,” Brittany declares. I looked between her and Zack angrily. Clearly, there was more to their relationship than he was willing to admit.
“Leave us,” Zack commands Connor and Brittany. Brittany shoots me a scowl before walking out of the room ahead of Connor. I turned away from Zack as he sighed. “She is right. We do not have any rogues stupid enough to enter our territory,” Zack said to me. “What am I supposed to say?” I asked, as I turned back to look at him.
