“Who is this?” I demanded, as I took the phone. “Not so fast, Alpha. You are not calling the shots. I am,” the male at the other end of the line cautioned. “I want Kristine back. What is your price?” I asked, prepared to do anything to get her back as soon as possible. “I will get to my demands shortly. Aren’t you going to ask how your mate is doing?” the voice taunted.
I swallowed a thick lump in my throat, before asking softly, “How is my mate?”. The male chuckled, “She is doing fine. A feisty mate you have there, Alpha. She prefers her privacy, and she does not like being touched. Unfortunately, when she was brought in, she had no clothes, and sadly we have nothing here for her to wear,” he taunted me.
