The brutality of gender discrimination and gender inequality within society forces people to pick names with gender bias. Neeraj was a name that conveys stereotypes about gender, not personal characteristics. The discrimination began in the family, where Neeraj was ingrained from childhood that she was a male because the name given to her was not an accident. Do you recognize that the power of the mind is fantastic? It is a believer in things that aren't factual. The truth is that Neeraj was born female and not male. Life goes on as planned for Neeraj. She went to school but faced no discrimination until 5th grade. A 5th-grade student in the 90s had a different thought process than today's generation. The Limited resources, lack of internet, and zero face time played a significant role in this difference. However, Neeraj experienced an important shift in perception when she relocated to a different area and entered a new school. For the first time, she realized her name was not gender-neutral and was commonly reserved for males. It was difficult to remember and comprehend. The events were quite evident and frequent, which made the shift even more impossible. Neeraj began to ask her father the reason why he had given her this name. Her father, a man with a temper, soothed her and explained the meaning behind her name. He explained the significance of "Neeraj," which refers to her name, and it means a lotus flower. It is an emblem of purity. He also informed Neeraj that the world is contaminated and that it is a clean spirit. Furthermore, he added she is unaffected by any contaminants despite living in the world. For a few days, Neeraj found peace and contentment in her life. As time went on, she prepared to start college. Choosing a women's college was a smooth transition for Neeraj. She thrived academically and enjoyed her studies. She completed her graduation. She encountered some challenges during her college years. However, they didn't have a lasting impact on her. The supportive environment of the women's college and her friendly nature helped her form strong bonds with many of her peers. Her name didn't play much role in defining her personality, but her situation changed after graduation.
