Chapter Ten

The following day, Bel was taken to the modiste for a fitting. She was incredibly excited to see the gowns her sister had chosen for her and hoped beyond hope that they wouldn’t all be plain and boring. Bee had a tendency to choose the most ordinary designs, but she’d promised Bel that she’d asked for lace and other frills, knowing how much she liked them. Knowing also that Tina had been there to help, gave Bel confidence that they would be flattering.
They stopped at Tina’s home to pick her up on their way.
“You didn’t need to come to the fitting, Tina,” Bel said, as soon as they’d gotten under way once again.
“But I enjoy this! Truly, I do. And I want to make sure that they did a good job, and everything looks just the way it should,” Tina said.
