MAID DUTY

2187 Words
Today was my first day on maid duty. I was still shocked that the king allowed me to have this opportunity. It would make a living for my mom and my sister and that's all that mattered to me. I stared at my reflection in the large mirror in my room. I was dressed in a white shirt and a black skirt. The skirt was a little shorter than I wanted it to be but it was comfortable. I had on my black flats that I wore the day before. If I was going to be cleaning, I wanted to be comfortable. I wasn't sure where I was supposed to go. The village was so big, and I was afraid that I was going to get lost. But I'm sure that I would see some other people in uniform, and I would just follow them. I left my room and made my way outside. To my surprise, there was no one in sight. So much for the plan to follow someone. I glanced over and noticed that the gates to the alpha's house were open. I could ask him. He was the one who told me that I was going to be working today. He didn't tell me exactly where I would be working. I didn't want to get in any more trouble with him anyway. So, I took a deep breath and headed towards his house. I approached the large glass doors and knocked. The doors opened and I jumped back in surprise. I found it odd that they were open, but I didn't question it. As I stepped inside my jaw dropped this was a house for royalty. The staircase was massive; it spiraled up until it met with the second floor. There was fancy furniture with expensive wall décor covering the walls. I made my way up the spiraling staircase slowly. I couldn't take my eyes off the house. It was big, beautiful, and expensive. I was unsure of where I was going because the house was so big. As I made my way to the second floor I started to question if his bedroom was even up here. The upstairs was the same as the downstairs; the only thing that differed was a pair of large gold doors at the end of the hall. There was no mistaking it, that was his bedroom. I approached the door slowly. I was hesitant but I didn't want to waste time. I knocked on the door gently and waited to see if he would respond. There was no answer and so I started to debate if I should go inside. I pushed the door open slightly peeking my head in. I was shocked that the door wasn't locked. The room was huge, and it was decorated in red and black décor. The large black curtains covered the windows blocking any light from seeping into the room. There was a large black carpet that took up a good amount of the dark wooden floors. There was a large black and red bed in the center of the room. The bed looked as though it was fit for a king. The black wood of the headboard was carved elegantly with leaves and branches. I stepped into the room slowly closing the door behind me. "Alpha," I called. I gasped when I was grabbed by the arm and shoved. I landed on the bed and before I escape, I felt someone on top of me. My heart was pounding in my chest as I felt him spread my legs. It was too dark in the room to see now that the door was closed. "What are you doing here?" I sighed in relief when I heard Tristian's voice. "I was...I was coming by to get information. I was unsure where you wanted me to start. The gate and front door were open, I'm sorry." I placed my hand on his chest and blushed. He was shirtless again. I was glad that I couldn't see him this time at least. I heard him chuckle, "I think you wanted to see me." I rolled my eyes, "don't be crazy. Why would I want." He moved his hips forward roughly. I gasped when I felt him rub against me. What was that feeling? He chuckled, "you want me." "Never," I whispered turning my head to the side when he got closer. There was no way that I was going to give him my first kiss. "You're so good at making me want you, Eden." He started to make slow thrusts, that matched the rhythm of his words. I gripped his shoulders trying to control my breathing. What was he doing to me? I could feel my legs start to shake as he continued moving his hips against me. He laughed a little, "you won't get pleasure from me. Eden, you're so desperate and it shows." I frowned, "you're the one on top of me. I would never be desperate for your touch." He was crazy if he thought that I wanted him to do this to me. I tolerated it because I was in his home. "I can't deny a king, right?" He smirked, "deny me then." "I don't want to be yours, Alpha." He climbed off me and I sat up slowly. I could feel him staring at me and I frowned. "What are you looking at?" "Your white panties," he smirked raising an eyebrow. I closed my legs quickly and climbed off his bed. I couldn't hide the fact that I was embarrassed. He was doing this on purpose, and it was starting to upset me. "Where will I be working today?" I mumbled fixing my clothes. "You'll be setting up tonight's dinner. If you go to the grand hall, Elizabeth will assist you." "Thank you," I whispered brushing past him. "Eden, if you come to my room without my permission again, I'll give you what you're asking for." I didn't respond to him; I left his room quickly. I didn't want to spend another second alone with him. I was happy knowing that I wouldn't have to be his mate. Just the thought of him taking my virginity caused me to blush but shiver at the same time. TRISTIAN I watched from across the room as Eden set the table for dinner. There was something about her that excited my wolf. I couldn't put my finger on what it was to save my life. She was disobedient and I hated that. But she was interesting at the same time. From what I could see, she was doing a good job being a maid. I couldn't stop thinking about earlier this morning when she came to my bedroom. She was so damn tempting. "Brother, it's overwhelming, isn't it?" I leaned back in my chair and relaxed. "Not really, no woman has caught my eye yet." My brother Zayn chuckled, "really? I find that hard to believe. All these beautiful women here and you're having a hard time deciding. If it was me, I would take about three of them." I laughed, "I'm sure you would. Here I thought that I had a big appetite but you little brother, you amaze me." He placed his hand on my shoulder, "I know. It seems that you have your eyes on that one though." I shifted a little in my seat, "no, she's not worth breeding. She's disobedient and disrespectful. I wouldn't waste my time with her, even if she was the last woman on earth." "Well, big brother. You've been watching her for the last twenty minutes. What is it about her that drives you crazy? She's cute but the grey in her hair makes her look strange. What's the deal with that?" I shrugged, "she said that it's genetic. And she's a virgin. I feel like that's the only thing that makes me more interested in her. But I think it makes her feistier. If she wasn't a virgin, she wouldn't fight me so much." "Virgin? You have to be joking. Most women lose their virginity by the time they're eighteen. There's no way that she's a virgin. You have to be careful; women can be deceitful creatures. Especially when they want something. Remember, you are the king. What woman wouldn't want to be the breeder to a king?" I smirked, "she's never been touched by a man at all. No kiss, nothing. How am I supposed to work with that?"  "A virgin can make things difficult, but they are just like any other woman. You have to tease her enough and I'm sure she will give you what you want." "There's no way that I raised you to think like that." We both looked up to see our mother walking towards us. She looked as beautiful as ever in her long blue dress that swept against the floor. "What's her name," she asked motioning towards the woman that intrigued me. "Eden," I mumbled. She smirked, that means place of pleasure. She does look like she can offer that to you. If you ask my opinion, she seems like the best option from what I've seen. What's stopping you from taking her, Tristian?" "She's a virgin." She gasped, "she's rare. It's not every day that we see a virgin." "That's true but that's not what I'm looking for. I want a queen that's already experienced." She rolled her eyes, "patience, my son. What have you learned from your father?" "How to rule and how to take a woman. He said romance was for weak men. All we need is a strong heir and that's why we needed the company of women." She sighed, "I see. Your father was very romantic. I understand the world that we live in. But you don't want to make the mistake of treating a woman as if she's just a breeder. She'll grow to hate you and you don't want that. You are stuck with this woman for the rest of your life so choose wisely." I didn't want to agree with my mother, but I had no choice. She was right. If I wanted to live a peaceful and calm life, I had to ensure that the woman that I chose was happy. It was a hassle, and I hated the thought. "Why do I have to choose a woman anyway? It's all a waste of my time. Besides, grandma chose you not dad. Why can't you choose for me?" She giggled, "because your father changed the law. With my help...just a little. I wanted to change the rules for you two because you should be able to choose who you want to love." "I don't want to love. I just want an heir." She placed her hand on her hip. "You can't have one without the other, Tristian. Gosh, the way you act I would think you grew up abandoned with no love." "That's the way father taught me to be." "Well, change it. I understand that women are here to produce children, but we don't want to feel like that's the only reason that we are here. There's nothing wrong with being kind. Both of you," she turned around pinching my brother's arm. He hissed in pain and smirked. "Well, how do you suppose I go about pleasing her?" "Show that you have a heart. Invite her to dinner tomorrow. Try to get to know her. That's the reason that we brought all these women here. There are sixteen girls here and they all come from different places. I'm pretty sure that you're bound to find one that suits you." I sighed loudly, "fine. But how do you expect me to get to know her when she's so disrespectful and disobedient? How am I supposed to fix that?" She laughed turning her back to me. "Patience and understanding. Believe it or not, your father and I never saw eye to eye either. It's okay to have different points of view. And that's what you don't need to forget. You want a silent woman. You like them seen and not heard but that's not realistic." I stood up from my chair slowly. "I'll try it your way. I'll try to be a gentleman." She smiled and patted my shoulder. "Good luck, Tristian. She really is a lovely girl." She smiled watching Eden leave the room. "I like her ombré hair it's stunning, don't you agree?" She didn't wait for me to reply. She walked away leaving me standing there with my brother. It was going to be hard trying to be something that I wasn't. I wasn't gentle or kind. I was a king; I didn't have to be. I made orders and people followed them. I couldn't ignore what she said though. Eden was rare and I felt that deep inside me. I knew that she was going to be different from all the other women. It was her attitude that I disliked the most. I didn't know how I was going to get past that when my attitude was just as worse.
