Evelyn slowly lifted her head to meet the brown, soft eyes of Eric, who was currently smiling and gazing at her intently.
She recalled the wink she had given her earlier when he was introduced and unknowingly, her stomach churned in anxiety.
“Yes, sure! I mean, I have no idea of where to start the tour from”, Evelyn said with a small smile while Eric stretched out his hands towards her.
She clung to his hands and together, they made their way out of the garden.
“We would visit the pool first”, Eric explained to Evelyn, whose eyes glittered with anticipation.
She had always heard of the Lycan King’s palace and their pool that was second to no other in the kingdom.
The fascinating open air swimming pool was located near a tremendous ocean, with its beautiful view. The water in the pool was blue like the sky and clear like a crystal.
“This is beautiful!” Evelyn commented as she parted her lips slightly.
“I knew you would love it here”, Eric said calmly, while Evelyn nodded her head immediately.
She loved everything about the palace already. Not only did she meet her handsome mates, she also had a beautiful view to feed her eyes with.
“You look beautiful…just like the pool. I mean, crystal and attractive”, Eric said as he bit his lower lips and stared at Evelyn, who was now becoming uncomfortable.
“Do you want to take a dive?” He asked as he wrapped his hands around Evelyn’s waist, leaning closer to her eyes while she froze in astonishment.
“No! No! I’m fine just staring at it from here”, she replied and moved backwards, slightly taking his hands away from her waist.
Eric chuckled, after which he folded his hands to his back and started walking behind her. They walked around the pool that had ancient sculptures too which made it more unique and attractive.
“A dive won’t hurt!” Eric said aloud and pushed her into the pool.
Evelyn yelped as she got drenched in a split second, with the water dripping from her head, down to her cheeks.
“You!” She growled angrily, but started laughing when he broke into hysterical laughter.
She enjoyed the feel of the pool and this made her remain in it, even though she was not currently in swim wear.
Eric was the most flirtatious from the four. And with his little tricks, it wasn’t hard to make girls fall for him, with only a snap of a finger.
He was charming too, and this was undoubtedly what prompted Evelyn to smile at him when she was initially raged.
He pulled off his shirts almost immediately and jumped into the pool, ignoring Evelyn, who was quite shocked and frightened.
“What are you doing?” She asked him the moment he splashed some water across to her.
“Having fun with my mate and stepsister!” He said with a glint of sarcasm in his voice.
He didn’t stop splashing the water across to Evelyn until she had no option other than to fight back and splash some water across to him too.
That way, they got entangled in a water fight that got them laughing and playing at the pool.

Just opposite the pool, Ryan sat at the front of the house, with a drink on the table and a book in his hands.
He gazed at Evelyn and Eric, who were now sitting under the sun to dry up their skins.
He scoffed for the hundredth time as he tried so hard to curtail the rage that was swirling around him.
There was nothing like mates, or mate bonds and all of those things people say…
He couldn’t say why his brothers were so adamant and unwilling to accept that fact.
Likewise, he sipped on his drink as he watched them intently, even if they had no idea that he was looking at them from where he sat.

Eric smiled at Evelyn for the hundredth time, after which he stood to his feet.
“I was a bad tour guide, I know!” He said and started laughing.
“That’s right! You ended up showing me just the pool”, Evelyn replied, as she wore a small frown on her face.
Eric took in a deep breath and played with her cheeks lovingly.
“I need to hurry out! I promise to be your tour guide some other time”, Eric apologized while Evelyn only nodded her head.
She was barely interested in whatever he uttered because there was someone who caught her attention already.
It was Ryan…
“Is your brother always this quiet and lonely?” She suddenly asked Eric, who shifted his gaze to Ryan who was seemingly engrossed with the book he held in his hands.
“He is a serious one! That’s all I can say”, Eric replied and quickly dashed out of the premises, not after waving at Evelyn and giving her the wink that did well in sending butterflies to her stomach.
She waved back at him and shifted her gaze back to Ryan. There was something about him, she needed to ascertain. And most importantly, she had to confirm if he were her mate too. He didn’t mention that, and she was dying to know…
She thought of how to approach him, since she wanted to avoid letting the present opportunity slide.
A thought clicked in her head and abruptly, she made her way towards the kitchen.
“What does Ryan love most?” Evelyn asked the cooks who were present in the kitchen.
“Apart from regular meals, he would always go for cookies”, the cook responded and Evelyn smiled calmly.
She picked up the plate of cookies they prepared for him, and after thanking them, she made her way towards Ryan.
All she wanted to do was simple; to ask him if he was also mated to her and why he kept mute all along if he was.
Her heart thumped rapidly, but she wasn’t willing to stop right until she got her answers.
Just as she walked over to him, her legs made her give her away. But then, she took deep breaths and got her mind ready for the quest.
“Are those meant for me?” Blaze suddenly said as he almost bumped into Evelyn, who almost fell to the ground.
