AIDEN’S POV

I had completed my tasks and was about to check on Emerald. I was making her work more and I didn’t want her to leave soon. I enjoyed watching her work. It was a different amusement for me.
I shut my computer and picked up my phone to walk out when I heard a scream. I rushed out of my cabin and into the corridor. The lights were shut off but there was a little light and I was trying to find out who it was when I saw a flashlight.
“Who’s that?” I heard the familiar voice and it came out scared. I didn't think I would ever hear her voice sound so vulnerable.
The only person here was Emerald.
“Emerald!” I called out without waiting. The flashlight that helped me locate her well had fallen with a bang
