He shut the door behind him and made his way to his bike. The snow crunched under his feet but was already starting to melt in the oddly warm morning sun. It was close to ten in the morning now and the stillness of the previous night was gone. He could hear cars off in the distance and the low hum of conversation from two people heading to their cars. Gray felt oddly comforted by the feel of the helmet going over his head as he got onto his bike. The engine came to life, and Gray roared out of the parking lot of his apartment complex. Normally he would go much faster than the speed limit, not caring if any cops saw him, but that was the last thing he needed right now.
