(Doris' POV)
Gilbert panicked and stood up slowly like there was nothing to hide any longer. "We killed him."
He looked around the ward and saw the eyes that were fixed at him. He bowed his head as he began to confess. "I betrayed my brother, the then Alpha, when I began my affair with his wife Mara. He had found out about our affair but we were scared that he'd expose us, so we plotted with him. We killed him later on but covered it up and made it look like he died of a sudden illness."
He paused and looked around again before he continued. "After I helped Liddell to become the Alpha, Mara and I continued to enjoy our affair. I silenced everyone who knew about it for various reasons. But now that you have discovered the truth, I really don't know how to deal with it."
