Chapter Eight: What Kind Of Power.

"I am a Vampire!" Vic said to Melody

"Huh?? You are what?!" Melody asked, "wait! wait!! Are you joking or what?"

"I am so so serious!" Vic exclaimed. "Promise me that you won't tell anyone what I am."

"I promise! but do you know if there are vampires in the human world?"

"I don't know, but I had a hint that there's a world out there full of vampires. If you know anything about the vampire world, please tell me." Vic requested. "I need to get stronger, I'm still weak as I am.

"The vampire world?" Melody replied as she looked as if she want to remember something. "That world, do you not know anything about it?"

"I don't really think I can remember anything, I don't know who my real parents are, I don't know what happened to me, I don't know how I ended up in this world." Vic replied. "But, I don't really think this vampire world really exist, do you?"

'Vic, what are you doing!! she's a stranger, you can't fully trust her like that.' Ang shouted.

'You're wrong Ang, she's not a stranger. I know whom to trust and to not. For Melody, I trust her' Vic said And Ang kept mute.

"if I may say, I believe it exists. It may be real. Cause there are different types of world out there. Melody paused for a while, she was hiding something from him and Vic could tell.

"Say it, I won't be mad" Vic said.

"Do you also suck bloods like those vampires in the stories?" Melody asked.

"No!! Why would I suck blood." Vic laughed at the idea and tried to ask Ang about it.

"You are not a blood vampire, you're different." Ang replied. "Your race is Psychic Vampire and their characteristics; They do not suck blood but rather feeds on Energy. They are not affected by sunlight and silver. They are far different from blood Vampires. They are stronger than blood vampires. The more energy they drain, the stronger they get. Their evolution is longer than that of blood vampires.

But one thing is that, blood vampires and psychic vampires are eternal enemies of each other. That's why you should know whom to trust. You're still a teen vampire, you can't distinguish between a vampire and human. Even your detect skill may not work on them!' Ang explained.

"So that's why!" Vic said not realizing that he spoke it out.

"What is that?!" Melody asked.

"I mean I'm a psychic vampire." And he explained it just the way Ang had told him. Only leaving the part where his detect skill won't work.

"Now I understand, but how did you know it?"

Vic paused for a while before coming up with a lie.

"Errm, it's like this, anytime I have a puzzled question in my mind, if I keep on thinking about it, some kind of system or let me say magic, will tell me about it in full details. It's crazy right!" Vic said.

"It's okay, but I've never seen such magic before or Perhaps it is this psychic vampire trait. Let's just go to another topic." Melody was getting frustrated.

"Can I ask a favor from you in return for the promise I made to you?!" Melody requested, "I heard that your parents weren't your real parents."

"How did you know that??" I asked.

"I'm quite the journalist of myself. I heard the rumours from somewhere. Well, your foster mother gave birth to a new baby on the day you passed out. Do you know that they're the founder of the army school we'll be attending?! It was all broadcasted on the news."

"I won't go to that school anymore!" Vic replied angrily and his eyes glowed lilac blue in colour. Melody seeing this was shocked.

"Just what are you, what kind of powers do you have?!" She thought. Meanwhile Vic read her thoughts using his mind reading skill and he decided to calm down a little bit.

"I know you're angry! But remember what you said. You want to get stronger, I believe the school has greater opportunity for you to become stronger." She paused for a while before continuing, "I can help seek your revenge on them without them knowing who you are!"

"Them?!" Vic asked. "Who?"

"How could someone claim to be your parent and one day, renounce you as their child. That doesn't make sense at all."

"Revenge! That's what I want. We're in!!"

"First, I need to change your appearance"

"Huh?? Why? How will you do that?!" Vic asked.

"Magic will be used to change your appearance, and you can't just go into an army school like that without meeting people's glances. Everyone knows about you now, they know your story. Don't you know how easily Ray found you." She said.

"Okay, so we go with your plan."

"But this is my request! I want you to keep me by your side at all times for protection, I won't need to use my invisibility magic all the time." She requested.

"Are you sure this plan will work without us getting caught?"

"Don't worry about that, I'll take care of it, just say that we're brothers and sisters when we enter the school, Okay!" She replied excitedly.

'She's really daring. This is the type of person I want. This would make my plan to get revenge easier, and what could I say to someone as pretty as her, who had willingly committed herself to help me."

"I know you may not like the idea but the altering magic won't work if we're not together. I prom,..." Melody finally said as she felt that Vic was thinking for so long without any reply, but she was stopped Midway.

"I accept your request!!" Vic replied boldly.

"You what?... Oh!" She said as she hugged Vic tightly making him blush a little.

"Oh sorry" she apologized. "After I carried you from the restroom, I brought your stuffs with me."

"Oh thanks! err, which restroom was I when I passed out?" I asked

"You were in the female's restroom!"

"Ah!!" Vic was ashamed.

"It's nothing, there was no one else there." She giggled as she remembered something, "I forgot to ask, what happened to you then?"

"I Evolved, that's why" He replied truthfully.

A sad expression was on Melody's face and Vic could see it.

"Don't worry, we will get stronger together. Just stay by my side, and you'll be safe. You can learn a new ability." Vic consoled her before teasing her a little bit, "but you're the weirdest lady I've ever seen, you displayed a lot of skills in magic."

"Give me a hug brother!" Melody said and without hesitating, he hugged her tightly.

"You're the first person to hug me." Melody said and Vic replied the same thing. He have never hug his foster parents before. Not even once.

"About the army school, we'll be leaving this evening. It's a good thing you woke up two hours before the time. we have about an hour left to take off. We'll be using an Army private Jet. Due to the fake news that Ray spread to all parents, the militaries decided to use the plan B. Instead of the commercial airplane."

"That's nice, so we gotta get moving" Vic Said.

Half an hour later,

In a large hall, several students were busy chatting amongst each other. They all sat in threes and fours. Or more than that. The only ones sitting in twos were Vic and Melody. Vic's appearance had been altered by Melody, that no one was able to recognize him. Melody who had a blue hair and blue eye brow had also changed her appearance, If she were to go like that, it will cause unwanted attractions, and she is in a No-Invisibility magic zone.

Vic registered his name as Vichette King, and Melody's name as Melody King.

All seems to be going on well until some students came in with a list. As they entered the hall, everywhere started getting rusty.

They were five in numbers, they stood on a platform and looked around the hall. Vic was not able to see them until when they had stood on the platform, he could see them clearly.

They are four boys and a girl. They looked almost alike, but there are some differences. Vic Concluded his thought that they might all be siblings.

With a closer inspection, Vic could tell that they are from a wealthy family. The shoes, dresses and Jewelries they had on were of high quality. They all wore the same clothing. They also had a lightning crest proudly shown on their clothes.

"Just what is the meaning of that logo?" Vic asked.

"Those kids are the true blood of the Thunderson family. They are just as powerful as every other strong people.

I heard that the elders of their family are far more powerful than anyone in this world." Melody replied.

"Are you kidding me, just what is their ability?" Vic asked.

"Their story was like this..."
