Alexander's wish throws me off more than his presence here, which is unexpected to say the least, leaving aside the tiny details of the very late hour that signals the almost end of my birthday.
Today has truly felt like a month crammed into 24 hours, and except for my parents, my brother and those who literally knew me from birth, like Teagen, no one knew it was my birthday. As for gifts, the hectic search for me in the woods outside Crescent Moon territory, followed by my last minute departure to the palace, meant that I got exactly nothing since my family's last concern was gifting me something.
