Chapter 4: The Birth

With his intelligence, Alex managed to move Tania without being found into a hidden place in one of the Angkasa main house. Alex installed an invisible and holographic illusion shield so that the area from a distance was seen as a dead-end wall. Tania's stomach grew bigger, and the birth signs were getting closer. Alex called on the family servant who was in charge of caring for the house to help with Tania's birth process.

Matias took the necessary action. He dismissed the servants of the Angkasa family house. Only he and Melati stood guard. As the butler of the Angkasa family and Alex's personal assistant, Matias was worried that the secrets about Tania's whereabouts could leak if there were many servants in the Angkasa family's house. Matias and Melati decided to prepare the childbirth process by themselves together with Alex. Melati was a special staff member of the family who has served and kept this family secret for years. She could be trusted. After all, Melati had already assisted in many giving birth moment for others. Everything needed to be done quickly, efficiently, and hidden. Another crew was left there to help. She was Eva. She was a quiet girl and followed every order given. Her presence was beneficial when Matias was lack of people.

Near the birth, Tania's whole body seemed to turn blackish blue.

"Tania, try to stay conscious. Wipe off the sweat," Alex ordered Melati, a senior crew who helped the Angkasa family for years.

"Young master Alex, I can't touch Miss Tania's body. It's not normal ..." complained Melati.

There was a flow of static electricity that stings anyone trying to touch Tania.

"Melati, wear your protective armor, please. The armor will protect you from electric shock and excessive energy overflow. Remind Matias to keep all energy-absorbing machines active. We don't know what we will face," Alex ordered Melati.

"Okay, Alex. I understand. I will ask Eva to help prepare hot water and clean towels for Tania." Melati went to prepare herself and delivered Alex’s message to Matias.

"Tania, talk to me. Try to keep yourself conscious. Fight Tania. Fight for this baby," Alex said repeatedly.

Tania was sweating profusely and breathing hard. She repeatedly convulsed because of pain.

"I don't know if I'm strong enough until the end, Alex. The process turned out to be very painful," said Tania.

"It is okay. Keep on talking. Distract your attention from pain," said Alex.

Eva passed and wiped Tania's wet body with a dry towel. She said nothing. Eva was ready with protective armor to absorb energy. After drying Tania's body, she changed Tania's clothes, then left.

"Alex is Eva already ..." Tania asked hopefully.

Alex shook his head. "She is fine physically. But… her memory hasn't returned yet. "

"I'm sorry, Alex. Suppose the situation was not screw up. I already have…"

"Don't think about that problem, Tania. That matter still can wait. Just focus on giving birth safely," said Alex.

Alex tried to keep Tania awake. Various supplemental fluids flowed through the infusion. Tania was still struggling to hold the pain. The electricity in her body was increasingly high voltage. Some medical devices become disturbed due to irregular electric shock.

"Prepare an isolation room. Bring Tania into the isolation room now," ordered Alex.

Matias, the quiet butler, immediately prepared the isolation room. The room had been made in such a way to be able to absorb a large energy explosion that might appear. Alex had anticipated the arrival of energy that was difficult to control. Alex felt anxious. Will Tania able to survive the events of today? Alex didn’t want to lose Tania. Not today. Not now. Alex wasn't ready.

In the isolation room, Tania was laid on a bed that had a transparent protective capsule. Alex added painkillers to help Tania overcome her suffering. Some parts of her body's skin looked red and shiny.

[Alex ... I need to talk] Tania said telepathically.

Alex stared at Tania's pale face in pain. Fear was clearly visible on Alex's face.

[You have to survive, Tania. I will help you to survive.] Alex said repeatedly. Alex tried to convince himself and Tania.

[If I die today, please save this baby. Protect this baby. I love this baby. Promise me, Alex?] Tania begged.

Älex shook his head, refused. "I don't want to, Tania. This is your baby. Take care and raise your baby. I will keep you alive for this baby. "

[Alex ... I ...]

But… Tania could not continue her words. Tania's body twitched violently, and Tania screamed in pain. Her body began to tremble uncontrollably. Electricity in her body flickered out. Her skin was increasingly reddish like magma.

Alex locked the capsule of Tania's bed and activated the protective shield in the room. The door to the isolation room was locked from the inside, so none could enter from outside to save Tania and Alex. Another protective shield on the outside of the isolation room goes down slowly. Melati was there, together with Alex. She was in the isolation room, ready to help Alex. All crew was ready to face the worst situation. They already wore full protective armor. Melati turned on all the energy-absorbing machines placed on the wall in the isolation room.

Matias was still outside of the isolation room.

Matias grabbed the speaker button. "Alex. What are you doing? You can die in the isolation room. This situation is hazardous! Please save yourself. Melati, are you insane?"

Alex installed and activated protective clothing for himself and Melati. His body was fully protected from the tip of his hair to the tip of the foot by elastic but strong flexible material. On the outside of Alex’s clothes, there was a thin but strong layer that protects Alex's body's entire surface.

Alex faced the monitor and replied to Matias, "My decision was final, Matias. I can't leave Tania alone here."

"Matias, I will help Alex with the giving birth process here. You and Eva protect us from outside the isolation room," Melati said firmly.

"What should I do if bad things happen, Alex?" Matias asked in confusion.

"If I die and this baby survives, you are obliged to protect this baby to adulthood and hand over the Angkasa family inheritance to her," Alex said.

"If Tania or I survived, prepare a stem-cell regeneration medical room. Take us right there. Prepare now, Matias. I haven't planned to die fast," Alex said.

"I have prepared the medical room for cell regeneration. Please help to bring a recovery bed to stand by in front of the isolation room. If something happens, the recovery bed can give us a little time to arrive at the medical room. Bring a large size. You can put all three of us together on the bed and push it to the medical room," explained Melati.

"Okay, I get it. I prepare it now. I beg you, try to stay alive. Don’t you dare to die!" said Matias. He went to prepare the medical room in a rush.

Alex turned around and approached Tania, who seemed to have suffered greatly from pain. Alex holds Tania's hand tightly and whispers in her mind through telepathy.

"Let's fight together, Tania. We must stay alive for the sake of this baby. Push, Tania. PUSH!” said Alex to Tania in his mind.

Tania pushed hard as she screamed hysterically.

"Good job, Tania. Keep pushing. PUSH!!!," said Alex. Electricity blasted, but Alex ignored it. His protective clothing absorbed all the available electrical energy so that the impact was not too pronounced. The wall in the isolation room started to absorb energy excess that came out from Tania’s body.

Matias hurriedly activated the healing medical room. He was not using protective clothes for himself. He was too busy. Matias took wheeled beds and emergency medical equipment to move patients from the isolation room to the healing room. When Matias almost arrived in the isolation room, there was a powerful burst of energy. Blinding light penetrated space after space. The light made Matias's eyes unable to see anything. Matias's consciousness declined, and his body fell limp. Then, everything went dark.
