Chapter 23: Matias in Action (1)

Matias wore the staff hotel uniform. He took many bottles of liquor and a number of steaks prepared in the dish, then put them on the food cart. He went to the eleventh floor. The elevator was opened and a number of muscular men have waited for the food. Secretly Matias asked Omega, his digital assistant, to analyze the situation. There were about ten people on the eleventh floor. From the eleventh floor, David informed us that there was a special operated elevator from the 11th floor and above. Other elevators were only operated on the 11th floor. To reach the 25th floor, the 11th-floor guards should be knocked out first. On each floor, there were guards placed on each level of emergency stairs. If Matias attracted one of them, the guards could warn the other guards upstairs and made the situation worse for Matias. He chose to work in silent operation.

"Leave the food to me. You may go down," said one of the guards while taking the food from Matias. Another guard forced Matias to turn around and pushed him roughly into the elevator.

Melati awoke. She tied to a chair by a strong rope. Scary men surrounded her. One guard grabbed a bowl of warm porridge.

"Open your mouth. Eat," the man ordered.

Melati covered her mouth tightly.

"My boss asks you to eat. Open your mouth voluntarily or I'll force you to eat," the man threatened.

Trembling because of fear, Melati opened her mouth. The man fed her with warm porridge.

"Eat quickly. My boss is waiting in the next room," said the man.

Melati nodded and swallowed the porridge given without much resistance. After eating, Melati was brought to the next room. Angkara Ufuk has been waiting in the room. Melati was scared. She didn't know whether she will survive or not. She did not have time to press the hidden panic button in her clothes to call for help.

"Do not be afraid. I just want to ask. If you are cooperative, your life might be safe," said Angkara Ufuk calmly.

Melati nodded and sat in a chair in front of Angkara.

Matias put one of the mini surveillance cameras on the food cart. He monitored the situation using the camera with the help of Omega, his digital assistant. The guards on the eleventh floor ate and drank greedily. They did not know that Matias had put a strong sleeping potion in food and drinks. Within minutes the guards were fast asleep. Matias detected it from the sleep activity scanned by Omega.

The only guards who still awake were on the emergency stairs. Matias borrowed David's computer and automatically locked the emergency staircase from the central computer. The door could still be unlocked manually, but the guards didn't have the key. They couldn’t open the emergency door without breaking down the door. However, there was a problem. This door was very thick and fire-resistant. Matias managed to lock them in the emergency staircase area. They couldn’t open any emergency door for all levels. The guards on the eleventh floor and the emergency staircase were no threats anymore for Matias. Afterward, Matias deleted all employee data on the hotel server. Matias also deleted all other data in the hotel server and local hard disk, including hotel camera recording. Thus, all traces of employee data disappeared from the hotel's hard drive and server. Even so, Matias had backed up the data on the Angkasa family's server.

"Ask your staff to dismiss now. All employee data has been deleted. Go away and never come back again, if you want your life to be safe. Never deal with them again,” said Matias.

"But… What about their salary? However, they need to survive and pay the bills before looking for a new job," said David confused.

"Listen. If I survived, all your staff will receive their salary this month directly in their account. It will happen in a week. But I cannot guarantee their safety today or tomorrow if they are still dealing with Ufuk people," Matias affirmed.

"If you don't survive?" David asked.

"If I’m not surviving, just forget about the salary. Somehow, you will not survive either. Do you think Ufuk will spare your life after eyewitnesses all of this? The police cannot intervene. Think carefully!”

"I understand. Take good care of yourself," said David.

Matias climbed to the eleventh floor. He had activated the combat suit behind the uniform. This combat suit was very strong, elastic, and bulletproof. This combat suit had a layer of energy around Matias's body, so the enemy couldn’t effectively launch close combat attacks. The protection energy could absorb enemy energy. If needed, the combat suit could harden like a shield to protect the wearer.

Matias's head to his feet was protected by this combat suit. On the other hand, there were titanium claws that could be activated in close combat. At the waist, there were also guns and mini bombs with high explosives ready to be fired at any time. At the foot area, the dagger was tucked ready for use. By concentrating energy on his fist, Matias could release long-range energy blows like a shotgun towards the enemy. In close combat, Matias could also throw boxing electrical energy to knock out opponents. These combat suits could also reduce gravity, making the user able to move lightly and quickly. In the legs, if needed there was booster power to help the user jump high. There was also a rescue parachute that could be activated when the user fell from the air.

Omega, Matias's digital assistant was ready with combat mode. Omega backed up Matias to analyze the situation and chose the right function of Matias combat suit to fight. Omega also executed Matias order for combat assistance by controlling the drones. The situation around Matias was also analyzed with Omega's help to infiltrate smoothly.

Matias slipped into the eleventh-floor corridor. He walked along the eleventh-floor corridor to make sure all the enemies had been paralyzed. Enemies had laid down on the floor in several rooms unconscious. Suddenly he felt something from behind moving fast and curled his neck. An enemy had apparently not paralyzed yet and tried to remain conscious by stabbing his thigh to bleed with a fork. Matias wrestled with the enemy to escape. He elbowed the enemy's body back. The enemy was thrown and his head hit the wall. Matias approached the enemy to ascertain the situation. The enemy laid on the floor fainted. After making sure the 11th floor was completely clear from enemies, Matias checked the emergency door condition. The emergency door area was digitally locked. Enemies on the emergency stairs were locked tightly from the top floor to the bottom floor. The situation at the emergency exit was under control. In fact, the enemies who stand by on the emergency stairs were not aware of what was happening in the hotel corridor area.
