Reva came out of her university she had only two classes in the morning and she’s free this afternoon. Even if she isn’t free she has to make time to go to the hospital to meet Victor. She doesn’t know when he’s coming but her grandfather requested her to be there by 2 o clock.
Yesterday she tries to change her grandfather’s mind, but nothing worked out he’s too stubborn about in his decision. Reva was only bothered about her studies right now, she’s in the last year. Maybe if she’s graduated she would’ve considered meeting him but she’s has been thinking that she’s too young for entering into this married life.
She can’t say no to her grandpa, it’s his last wish or maybe we can say it is a kind of emotional blackmail. Even though she knows his intentions she couldn’t talk back. She’s stuck and tied up with this proposal with no chance to get away. There’s only one way she can stop this and its Victor. If he doesn’t like her then this marriage will never happen. How could I make that happen? She thought that for the entire night. She can’t deliberately try anything because that might hurt her grandpa so leaving out a sigh she's looking forward to meeting him, what else she can do?
Nevertheless, she believes that her grandpa will always want the best for her. He has given her all the best in this world. It’s totally Reva’s choice of living a normal life and she worked hard to get in the best university. He always felt proud of his granddaughter and allowed her to go on her path. If he pressures on this marriage, then there might be a strong reason for it. So that somewhat compromised her.
Victor Jones, when Reva searches about him the internet spats him as a complete playboy gentleman. He had dated many women and at the same time, he has generously denoting a lot for the cancer patients, disabled people and influencing the young generation. Mr. Jones lost his wife in cancer, Victor was seventeen that time, maybe that was the reason he’s helping the cancer patients, Reva concluded while reading about him.
More importantly, he’s too handsome, hot and sexy… Reva is smitten seeing one of his interviews. He’s so cool. She wondered what type of man he is?
She drove the car to the hospital and the dark clouds were gathering up slowly, Reva thought it’s going to rain anytime soon.
After parking the car, she headed inside the hospital. Her grandpa was shifted from ICU to his usual room. When she entered inside he was deep in his sleep. She didn’t disturb him and sat on the couch without making a noise. She has no idea what to do now and then decided to read for her upcoming tests.
Reva is an intelligent, unique and pretty girl. But she’s an introvert, hates attention and despise people who do wrong to other human and society. She can never withstand that thing and has a bad temper too. Reva doesn’t have any friends college but she has a soulmate, Helen.
Helen’s mom and Reva’s mom were close friends. As their Mom Reva and Helen maintain the same friendship. They studied in the same school and completed high school. But Reva chose to become a lawyer and Helen went to fashion designing. She’s now running a small boutique and living with her boyfriend. After this meeting, Reva has to call Helen and tell what happened and consult her about the entire thing.
When she’s in her thought with the book in her hand.
“Again you’re into daydreaming,” her grandfather commented.
“Grandpa,” she smiled looking at him.
“Why did you wake up, take some rest,” she stood up from her seat and went close to him.
“All day I was sleeping, Reva. Let me feel alive for some time,” he told. Reva smiled and held his hand.
“Can you open the curtains,” he requested.
“Sure,” Reva replied and opened the white curtains. The sky is all ready to shower the rain and she looked taking a deep breath.
“Reva, come here,” he called.
Reva sat beside him and gazed at his face. “You look handsome, grandpa,” she smiled.
“Yeah, after getting discharged I am planning to go on a date,” he left a small chuckle.
“What time it is?” he asked.
“It’s going to be two-thirty in the afternoon,”
“Victor will be here at any time,” he said.
“I don’t think he will come,” she shrugged.
“He will, Reva. Don’t conclude anything before you’re introduced to that properly,” he gave the biggest life lesson in a very easiest way.
“Grandpa, why you chose him out of all the man in this world,” she scowled.
“He’s the right one for you. That’s what my intuition is telling me. You know about me Reva I have never taken a wrong decision,” he smiled and caressed her hand.
“What if he’s a playboy, a womanizer and cheats me after marriage? I read about him on the internet and he seemed to be a cocky brat having a lot of ex’s and I can’t fight them.” She cried. Mr. Charles started laughing hearing Reva’s statement.
Reva smiled too and turned her gaze to the door. Her heart jumps out from her chest in shock. Victor was standing at the door, he’s pissed off and it’s evident from his expression. He clenched his jaw before stepping inside plastering a smile. Reva got down from the seat and her grandfather stopped his laugh seeing him.
“Hello, Sir,” he greeted.
“Victor, we are waiting for you, nice to meet you after a long time,” Mr. Charles smiled.
Victor moved closer to Reva and she took a step back and gazed him in astonishment. She couldn’t believe her eyes, she never met an attractive, handsome man like him before. He kind of resembles her favorite actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Instantly her cheeks blushed when his shoulder brushed her shoulder.
“It’s nice to meet you too, sir,” he held Mr. Charles's hand with a smile on his face.
This gesture of Victor made Reva feel respectable on him. His voice is kind of sweet to hear and yet very manly. Without blinking her eyes, she stared at him.
“How’s your business?” he asked.
“It’s going fine, sir. I always hear about you from dad,” he told.
“And you might know her, this is my granddaughter, Reva,” he introduced and suddenly Victor turned his gaze to Reva. He looked at her intently in annoyance. Seeing him closer Reva’s breath hitched and her heart start to throb crazily.
“She’s going to be a lawyer,” her grandfather told and Victor’s eyes validated her like, are you even going to be a lawyer with that attitude of yours.
Reva felt so awkward, she has never been in this kind of situation. What the hell I did! She mentally slapped her head.
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Victor,” she tried to smile.
“Nice to meet you, Reva,” he replied politely and she can’t trust it.
“So Jon must have said about the marriage. What do you think Victor?”
He took a moment and Reva was so eager to hear it, she doesn’t have any clue about what he’s going to tell but most of her thoughts said that he won’t accept her.
“I am ready to marry Reva,” he announced.
“s**t,” Reva muttered and Victor heard that clearly. He looked at her and she turned to the other side in embarrassment.
“Don’t feel like you have been compelled, if you don’t like you can tell me,” his grandfather asked again. Reva’s eyes narrowed, this cruel grandpa doesn’t say this to me but why being so good to him?
“No sir, I am very honored to marry your granddaughter,” he told and her grandpa smiled holding his hand.
Reva is dumbfounded by his good nature. Victor gazed at her and she doesn’t know how to react and stared him back.
“Thank you, Victor. Let’s arrange your wedding as soon as possible. I’ll talk about this to Jon,” Mr. Charles told.
“But before that, I need to talk to Reva,” he asked.
“Sure, why not,”
“Reva, take him to the cafeteria. And give me your phone I need to call Jon,” he hurried.
She handed her phone and Victor was ready to leave. “Okay sir, I’ve to go after talking. I’ll come next time,” Victor apologized.
“No problem Victor, but don’t call me sir. Call me Charles,” he smiled.
“Sure,” telling that Victor walked out of the place and Reva followed him. She’s so anxious about what he’s going to talk about.
“Cafeteria is this side,” Reva told when he was walking to the exit.
“No, we are not going there. I don’t have time,” he replied.
“Come with me,” he told and they went out of the hospital. The drizzling rain is soaking everything and she looked up at his face.
“You aren't fully okay with this marriage. Am I right?” he asked.
“Yes,” she nodded. “But I love my grandpa and I can’t say no to him,” she added.
“I can understand. I am in the same situation,” he huffed.
“So we don’t have any other option, let’s get married and see whether it will work out or not, okay?” he asked.
“Okay.” She agreed. He smirked hearing her yes.
Before going to his car, “And one more thing, I am not a playboy and my ex won’t come and pull your hair, stay chill,” he annoyed with a sarcastic smile. Reva gritted hearing that.
“I am sorry,” she apologized.
“I don’t need that. Keep it with you,” he clapped his hands like a praying hand emoji; with an Irritated smile on his face, he got inside his car. As he left Reva’s lips curled in a smile. Now she realizes that he’s indeed an unruffled person.

Reva returned back to her apartment when it’s past thirty of eight. She made sure that her grandfather was asleep before coming out of the hospital.
Now she's too tired and wanted nothing but a hot shower and coffee. She opened her medium-sized apartment. It's not a luxurious one but it's kind of big for a single person.
Reva hates disturbances so that's why she rented this instead of much cheaper one. She's been staying here for almost two years. The familiar scent of lavender filled in the ambiance. She smiles in relief sniffing that and closed the door behind. But the realization that she's going to miss this after marriage made her face frown.
Whatever it is! I am going to enjoy the moments here, she jumped and made her way to her bedroom.
She looked herself in the mirror. "I am not a playboy," she imitated Victor and laughed thinking about today.
He is not like how she expected but he's not her ideal type too.
There's something with that guy, he really made me smile today. As per the research woman like men who make them smile instead of good looks and that has worked out in Reva's case. She's attracted and curious to know her future husband.
Clearing her building thoughts, Reva took her glasses off, freed her hair that tied in a bun and started removing her blazers, shirt, and her jeans. She stood in front of the mirror in her pink lingerie.
Her flawless milky white skin was the hottest thing in this entire world. She has long black hair that fell near her waist. She has that curvy body like the models. Her untouched hourglass figure was glowing in the bedroom lights. Her n*****s erected when she moved her bra hook.
Now she has attained the greatest relief of her life. She stumbled on her bed and heaved out a sigh.
She's the finite definition of beauty.
Suddenly her phone started ringing and she took the phone to see it's from Helen. She immediately attends it with a smile on her face.
"Hey,"
"Reva my work will end in ten minutes, I am coming to your home." She informed.
"Okay, then I will prepare something good to eat for you," Reva replied.
"Okay, I am buying beer and fried chicken. Don't cook much."
"And by the way do you have any classes tomorrow?" Helen asked.
"No," Reva replied as tomorrow is weekend. But sometimes she will have classes at the weekend too.
Helen was going to spend the night here with Reva. Her boyfriend Chris has gone to a photoshoot as he is a famous photographer in the town. He looks handsome and perfect for Helen.
Reva got up from her bed and headed inside the bathroom. She took a rose-scented bubble bath and came out of the bathroom all fresh and clean. She slipped the silk nightdress that fell near her mid-thighs. She usually wears this when she's too relaxed.
She lights up the aromatic candle in the living room and headed to the kitchen.
She prepared tomato pasta since Helen loves that dish. After a long time, she's coming home so Reva was so happy.
Apart from being intelligent, Reva is an excellent cook. She studied cooking for six months and she wanted to be a chef then she changed her mind and enrolled in law school.
As she finishes her cooking, the doorbell rang. Reva opened the door to see Helen standing in front of her with all smiles.
"Aww, baby how are you?" Helen hugged.
"I am fine honey, come inside," Reva guided her in.
"You smell wonderful, are you in a happy mood?" Helen chuckled narrowing her eyes.
"Oh common, taking bath is a normal thing there's nothing special about it," Reva rolled her eyes.
"It feels like you're so excited about getting married?" Helen teased.
"Don't say that I am stuck," Reva annoyed.
"First you go and fresh up. I will set the table for us," Reva told.
"Sure," Helen told and headed to the bathroom. You can change into my pajamas," Reva added.
"I know girl, just go and do your work," Helen said.
Reva opened the packages and the smell of fried chicken made her stomach growl in hunger. She opened the beer and poured it in the glasses. And served the pasta equally on the plates.
There's nothing better than spending the Friday night like this, Reva smiled and waited for Helen. She's wearing Reva's brown pajamas and looking good in that. She is similar to Reva. Five feet five inches tall, having short hair and with a good shape. As a boutique owner, she has to look pretty to attract the customers wearing her own designed fancy clothes.
"Let's eat I am so hungry," Helen sat on the table and Reva already starts to munch the food.
"Hey pasta is too tasty," Helen exclaimed.
"Thanks," "I love this chicken, where did you buy it?" Reva questioned.
"Near my boutique, they have started a restaurant and this fried chicken is very famous there," Helen answered.
"Oh, it's so good,"
When they were halfway of completing their food, Helen started their real talk.
"Did you met him?"
"Yeah today he came to the hospital," Reva replied.
"Is he good looking in person," Helen asked as she has already seen him on the television.
"Hmm," Reva nodded with a smile.
"Is he hot?" Helen chuckled.
"Yes very hot,"
"And a cool guy," Reva blushed.
"Aww, so you've fallen in love with him already?" Helen asked sipping the beer.
"No, how can I fall in love with someone who I just met?" Reva replied.
"I am just saying what I saw in him," "But I am so confused about this marriage. You know I have been waiting for someone special but this arrangement has spoiled everything."
"Don't think like that Reva maybe he will be a good person or he's the special person you're waiting for, who knows," Helen encouraged.
"Hmm, what if he isn't?" Reva still couldn't accept it.
"Let's wait and see, Destiny has dragged you to him. I don't think he will leave you, look at how beautiful and good you are. No men will think of missing you at any chance," Helen told.
"I am not saying this because you're my friend, I know how good human you are," Helen smiled
Reva smiled nodding her head.
"Some will find their love on their own," Helen told.
"Like you," Reva said.
"Exactly," Helen smiled.
"But some find it in unusual circumstances. As this kind of arranged marriages," Helen took a spoonful of pasta into her mouth.
"Maybe he will be your one and only love that you been searching over the years," Helen started munching it.
"Okay but I am too young to get married and settle in life," Reva blurted.
"Young or old. Marriages happen everywhere and to everyone. So don't worry about marriage,"
"It's just something that unites you with him,"
"If that doesn't work out, no problem life is a learning and anyway you will learn what it throws on your way," Helen preached like a saint. Reva smiled seeing her but she knows how precious her words are. Usually, Helen never advises anything to anyone but if she does then it's so precious and helpful.
"Okay, I take your advice. Let's see what happens at the end," Reva made her mind. But inside she started feeling too nervous about it. Especially about Victor Jones.
What he's thinking about me? How he accepted this marriage too easily? What's will happen after their marriage? And like that, so many thoughts danced on her head.
She left out a sigh and looked at Helen. As per her advice maybe he could be a good guy and maybe one day I can see the love in him that I am desperately wanting, Reva hoped.
The night passed peacefully, Reva had a good sleep.
