Elizabeth was awake, but her eyes were closed. She was in her bed, rolling and replaying her encounter with Alexander yesterday, the way he scooped her up and made her wiggle in his arms like a little kid. She was madly in love with that man.

“Hello princess.” He said when she picked up.
