“V.” Elizabeth gave her an awkward smile. She was surprised to see her. She expected Veronica to show up to congratulate Alexander on his victory, but she wasn’t expecting to see her so soon. Right after the election ended. She must have been around when she heard about the result, she thought.
Veronica entered the office and sauntered to where Alexander was standing with a huge smile on her face, completely ignoring Elizabeth’s presence.
“Hey Man. Congratulations.” Veronica beamed, as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him.
“Thank you Veronica.” He said absently, his gaze fixed on Elizabeth, who was still standing by the door, wondering why Veronica ignored her.
