He made me who I am today, yet the only thing I dislike is being dependent on him.
He made me who I am today, yet the only thing I dislike is be i n g dependent on him.
I prefer to work and own my stuff instead of relaying my burdens on someone else.
Instead, I will carry everything all by myself.
I know he has tried multiple times to help me and make things easier for me, but it isn’t working and I don’t know what else to do but to rely on myself repeatedly and work hard.
I can't be relaxed and lazy because he is filthy wealthy.
I need to have some respect and regard for myself.
He is caring, a kind-hearted Alpha who knows about my life story.
I know he can do a lot of things for me, but I don’t want to take advantage of him because he is wealthy.
I want to work, go through challenges and learn more things about life, werewolves and where I truly came from.
After Mike’s and my research, I discovered I was not truly my self-centred parent’s biological child.
Mike figured that out faster than I thought by telling me I didn’t resemble them one bit after seeing their pictures and investigating where I was born in the clan after I was banished.
He then asked me why I was so into them when they had nothing to offer me but loathed me because I was a hybrid.
It turns out they were frightened of me turning against them, and causing a rebellion to their clan.
That’s why they tried to break me down emotionally for me to feel worthless about myself and not know the real me.
It was also the reason I couldn’t connect with my wolf, because I was blocking her from connecting with me.
I jerked out of my thoughts when Mike came along, dropped my food on the table and blurted out. “Hey, go on without me. I have an emergency coming up and I’m so sorry, I wouldn’t be eating lunch with you.”
“Oh, no problem.’ I uttered and as he winked at me and hurried off to his firm.
I guess he is pretty busy with his clients.
I better walk around and take some fresh air since he was not here with me.
Staying here will bore me to death.
I closed the glass door, humming happily, walking out of the KCC BURGERS as I took a delicious bite out of my hamburger.
Damn, they had the best hamburger in the world; the aroma was enticing, hungering in my little world.
It was to die for.
I bumped into someone painfully and winced, rubbing my forehead.
Who was this stupid person ready to ruin my day for me?
I glanced up, only to see a couple of men dressed in all black and eyeglasses.
They appeared like bodyguards standing in front of me.
Man, they were wrapped up in baggy black suits like those weird Balenciaga clothes on them.
Their scary expression was nerve shaking and by their scents.
I could tell they were alphas and betas, werewolves from a powerful clan.
Who were they? I looked behind me. Were they escorting someone wealthy or something?
I gazed at them again. Their stares were tearing deep into my soul.
I remembered what had transpired earlier when Mike told me he noticed some strange people lurking around but he wasn't quite sure of his instincts.
But I didn’t take him seriously and before I could take some action and run away from these strangers who appeared out of nowhere.
One of them grabbed me and put a little white cloth on my nose.
I struggled with the black clothed man and blanked out, falling into the man’s arms.
I woke up, finding about six men sitting in their seats wearing luxurious suits.
I was in the middle of them, and they seemed wealthy and were alphas.
I could smell them right away. The air and how stuffy the atmosphere was, terrified me.
Was I kidnapped by these alphas?
Why? I wasn’t someone important, just an ordinary server and a bag carrier to earn a living.
What do they want from me? Or did they perhaps mistook me for someone else?
That could have been it, because I don't know anyone who would be jobless enough to kidnap a common wolf like me.
I work my ass off everyday and I can't recall having an enemy who hates me or creating one.
I glanced up once more, and seeing the Alpha's expression properly in front of me shocked me so much that I almost fell off my chair, if not that they tied me to it with chains.
“Hi, sweetie,’ One of them beamed, got up from his chair and walked close to me, with a twinkle of his fingers.
The chairs appeared behind him and he sat down on them and folded his legs across from each other, fixing his black suit.
Alphas.
They knew magic.
Sorcery received condemnation 200 years ago, as they banned it for being black magic..
Did they break the rule and went on studying it, after speaking against it online to the audience?
I recognize him.
I know them.
I’ve seen them on TV. They were quite famous.
People talk about them a lot about how they value their private lives, save the weak and always fight the bad guys, looking up to them as heroes.
The audience loved them to death.
THE SEVEN.
That’s what they were called.
No one messes up with them.
They were the most powerful alphas from the Red Lycan Pack.
The invincible, the unbeatable and they also controlled the elements of the earth and their powers could reach the sky.
I heard they were more powerful than a Lycan.
Even more than a vampire who’s lived for more than a thousand years.
They could shake and bring down the mountains, create floods of fire to wipe out their enemies and even bring the dead back to life.
No one sees them, goes against them and gets to live till the next day.
Not once were they ever defeated, but always at the top.
The others just stared at me. I could feel the heat, the pheromones, and how wildly my wolf was jumping around inside me.
I could feel my eyes change its colour into yellow, my claws were spotting out, and my fangs were also spouting out longer than it was before.
Was I in a defensive mood? Because of them, I shook my head.
Tears barely streamed down my face as I gasped at the realisation of experiencing my worst nightmare.
No! They can never be my mates.
What a joke!
Six Mates? Unbelievable.
“You are finally awake. By your reaction, I can tell you who I am, Rieka. If your memory doesn't serve you right.”
“How do you know my name?”
