Foreign nobility entering Etherea were at a great disadvantage. While many Etherean customs were hardly specific to the kingdom, there were several that others outside the country would have no way of knowing. If they happened to commit a social taboo, even ignorance wouldn't be enough of an excuse to save them from the consequences of their actions. There were two taboos within the Etherean noble etiquette which weren't well known to anyone outside of the nobility.
First, there were to be no mentions of adulterous behavior. Even if they were more than rumors, speaking of another's indiscretions in a public place was outlawed.
