I hadn't thought that I would ever take Grisha's advice to heart, but I did. The day after that unfortunate incident at Joe's I finally gave my sister a call to congratulate her on baby number two and scold her for not naming the little fella after me. She told me how they have a bit of a problem with unknown wolves coming closer to their borders, and how she's worried it might be something more serious than the usual rogue passing by. I jumped on the opportunity to do something good for my sister and at the same time take a break from the madness happening in my own home, and I offered to come and scout their area, just for Sasha's sake.
