"I do not owe you any explanation for the decision I make as your father and head of this household," my father slammed with a stern look and mother made her way over and sat on the stool close to him.
"This is not a decision father you're selling your daughter out to the highest bidder, just like the other men in the community have done to their daughters" Tare slammed with a fit of anger I didn't know he possessed. When father remained unmoved, he took his gaze over to mother, "Mother, say something please, this isn't fair."
She like always kept her silence and just watched us. "Your mother gave her full consent to this so there is nothing she has to say here."
I got down on my knees my eyes blurry and weak as I whimpered, "I don't want to marry now father, I beg of you don't make me marry now let me go to school."
