MY NEW FAMILY.

Somehow, I liked his honesty and how he showed what he felt within made me like him a little, and I couldn’t tell why. My mother laughed and said these words. “Don’t worry, sweetheart, she understands. It would take time for everyone to get along. No need to rush things, dear.” “But you are my wife now. My mate and the Luna of this pack. He needs to understand that and give you the respect that you deserve.” My mom laughed nervously and was trying her best to be as sweet as possible in front of Aaron. “I know, but you have to give them time. They will adapt to us soon. You know kids.” “You must be Wendy?” He stepped forward with a warm smile as he stretched out his hand to me. I was hesitant. I didn’t know how to respond or greet him properly. He was so handsome that I can’t believe this alpha was my stepbrother. “Welcome to the family and to the Pure Bloodline pack. I’m Aiden Grimwolf.” He kept smiling at me. “I’m Wendy Nightshade.” I softly responded and also stretched out my hand for a handshake until my mother calmly corrected me with a fake smile. “Wendy Grimwolf, not Nightshade, Wendy.” “That doesn’t matter.” Aiden laughed and turned to me. “Feel at home, Wendy.” “Thank you, Alpha Aiden.” I responded with a smile. He chuckled and squatted in front of me because of how short I was; I think. Well, he was so tall to look at, that my neck was hurting. He must have noticed it. “No need to be so formal. Just ‘Aiden’ is fine. You are my little sister now, so I want you to feel free around here." He was like a gentle soul, and his beautiful expression brought a smile across my face. I didn’t mean to be formal. I was just showing my respect to an Alpha from a powerful pack as an Omega. I nodded and before I knew it, all of them came to welcome me too and quickly left, even although they didn’t really want to greet me. I could tell from their expressions and how distant their pheromones were. What…what if I have issues dealing with the rest of them? How will I be able to handle the remaining alphas when I see them? My gosh. I better stay locked up in my room and avoid them. I can guarantee that they would also hate me as well, like the rest of them. But let’s not draw conclusions because they might be friendly towards me. Not everyone is bad. I guess my mom was right. It will take some time for us to get along by adapting to each other, and I hope it happens. Soon. I had finally found a new home, a place I belong to with no fighting, quarrel, and abuse. I couldn’t wait to get along with everyone. My stepfather invited my mother and I for lunch after greeting Aiden and my stepbrothers. And Aiden gave me a chair to sit on. The others all quietly took their respective seats. “Are you comfortable?” He gently asked with a warm smile and I nodded at him as he helped to arrange me in the chair properly with my legs hanging in the air and push it forward so I could reach the table. “Thank you.” I beamed happily, and he laughed. “You are welcome, Wendy.” He sat down opposite me across the table with a grin on his expression and the others were so focused on eating their food. “Do you like the food, Wendy?” I nodded. “Yes, Alpha Aaron. I love the food.” “From now on, call me father. Don’t be so formal. We are family alright.” “Thank you, father.” He laughed. “That’s my little girl.” He praised me and I admired how nice he was to me, despite how I was not his actual daughter. He was the sort of father I had always wanted. “What are you doing here?” I felt chills run down my spine as soon as I heard the haughty tone behind me. I looked up to see who it was, and it was Lykan. The young Alpha who ran upstairs earlier, because he didn’t want to greet me or something. “Who put you close to me? Don’t you have your own chair to f*****g sit on?” “I’m sorry.” I didn’t know why I was apologizing, but he was scaring me and his eyes were so dark and cold to stare at, it immediately reminded me of how my father looks at me when he is mad. “Umm…I didn’t mean to sit here…I don’t…” “Where are your table manners, Lykan?” Aiden whispered. “Keep it down.” “Keep what down, exactly? Don’t tell me you were the one that let her sit close to me. Aren’t there multiple chairs and spaces for her to sit on? Why does it have to be f*****g close to me?” “I didn’t intentionally put her there. I just did it with no intentions behind it.” “Get her away from here. I don’t want a f*****g Omega sitting close to me.” “Lykan.” Aaron banged the table with his fork and his expression was so cold as he glared at him. ‘Do you have any idea how much you have disrespected me today, Lykan?’ “Father, don’t worry about it…” “Stop defending him.” Aaron yelled at Aiden and faced Lykan again. “Respect…” “I’m an Alpha, father, not a Beta or an Omega. You need to always remember that. I have blood gushing my d**k. If she sits close to me, I go out of control. Whose fault will it be, then?” Everyone got silent and my mother almost stood up when he coldly faced me once again. “Get the f**k up before I do it for you, brat.” ‘Lykan,’ my stepfather banged the table again and stood up on his feet. “Don’t let me repeat myself. She is your sister and this woman here is the Luna of this pack.” He pointed at my mother and then at him. “You better behave yourself before I also do it for you. Stop acting like the world revolves around you.” “She will never be my sister and her mother will never be mine. I have a mother who is out there controlling a pack. I’m not an orphan. I never asked for this type of family you desperately created for your own selfish interests. So don’t act like I should accept them.” “Lykan.” “Didn’t you hear me? You stupid brat. I said you should get up.” He forcefully pushed me to the table with my chest hitting the edge of the table. It hurt. My heart was aching so badly I felt nauseous.
