CHAPTER THIRTEEN Dakota matched Marcus halfway through his own yawn, holding a hand to her lips as they pulled along the curb in a run-down part of the city. She could feel her eyelids weigh heavy, her limbs and motions lethargic. Maybe Marcus had been right. But even tired, yawning, she could feel her anticipation rising. It started as a prickle along the back of her neck but spread down her arms to the tips of her fingers. She pushed out of the door, onto the sidewalk in the rundown portion of the neighborhood. Kramer and Co was a single story, squat cement building that looked like it might have once been an auto shop. The garage doors were locked with padlocks, though, and painted over to blend into the walls. In the dark, Dakota couldn't quite make out the color of the building. G
