We drive through country lanes and then dirt tracks for just over an hour. Disappointingly there’s not been a single coffee shop on route. In fact, there’s not even been any kind of shop. By the time we arrive at the small cottage surrounded by nothing but nature, I’m desperate for a caffeine fix. Mickey jumps out of the car, he’s a ball of energy, probably powered by my tea he drank earlier. Hawk gives my hand a reassuring squeeze and then gets out to lift Oakley out in his car seat. I stay in the car for a moment, uneasiness settling in as I look at the cottage. There’s something about it that’s giving me a strange vibe. Visually, it looks great, a typical English cottage surrounded by a beautiful garden full of so many different types of flowers. I just can’t shake the feeling something
