Derry’s POV
The moment I get home Hawk pulls me into his arms. He knows the hell I've been through in the last few hours, he felt it all and supported me through it all.
“Don’t be so hard on yourself,” he soothes.
“I could have killed him,” I break down into a sob, finally letting my emotions flow out. I'd held myself together for Mickey but now he's okay I can let it all out.
“You were trying to help, you had no idea that would happen,” he says, still holding me against him.
“I should have checked before I did it. If I hadn't gotten him to Doranna so quickly I dread to think what could have happened,”
