Celestine's POV
I slowly opened my eyes. I feel like I'm lying on something soft now. I am not familiar with the smell of the whole environment. It's the scent of alcohol combined with antiseptics that really stings my nose.
Where am I? This isn't heaven, is it?
"She's awake!"
"Oh god, Celestine!" A woman immediately hugged me while I was lying down. I'm still weak and a bit sleepy. What happened to me?
A woman caressed my cheek as tears fell from her eyes.
"M-Mom?" I said softly, and I could see her tired-looking face.
I felt so weak and tired, like I had just woken up from a deep slumber.
I looked around and saw Sasha, who was obviously tired and very worried about me. Danica, McKenzie, Ahron, and Dominique were also present.
Wait, why are they here?
"Mom, where am I?" I asked
