I woke up feeling like a new person until my memories from last night slowly came back and I ended up throwing up. I killed ten people and I'll have to kill more to get rid of that bastard! I hated the thought of blood tainting my hands and soul. If there was a way to stay out of the fight, but help, I'd take it without hesitation! At that moment I realized... I grabbed a set of clothes and ran as fast as a river to the guest house. I knocked on the door like a maniac. Emmett opened it suddenly and I ended up knocking a few times on his chest before I realized what happened.

- Well... Hello there! Are you trying to call my attention? - Emmett asked half naked and he leaned closer to me, holding himself with one arm, leaning against the door frame. He looked hot.

- Good morning! Not like this, but technically yes. - I admitted and with a flirty smile Emmett asked.

- What can I help you with, my lady?

- Get dressed and come to the town hall. - I said and Emmett chuckled.

- Are you afraid that you wouldn't be able to concentrate of you keep seeing me like this? - he asked and he seemed a little strange. I noticed the plates and a few pieces of mushrooms on their table and it was really hard not to laugh. These idiots grabbed something magical or someone intentionally gave it to them. Whatever, two can play this game. I ran my fingers up on Emmett's bare chest and said looking deeply into his eyes.

- Well, maybe, but I wouldn't be as distracted as you would if I was wearing your current outfit. - his face got red as a raspberry. Emmett shut the door closed and said from behind.

- I'll be there soon! - I laughed and skipped to the town hall. It was so refreshing, teasing him!

My head started to clear out after Elidi teased me.

- Why did I say those things?! This is definitely not the way to get on her good side! - I groaned and searched for clean clothes. Conrad sat up in his bed holding his head and murmured.

- What happened? - I shrugged half dressed.

- No idea, but I was acting like a lustful i***t in front of Elidi! I have to get ready, she wants to talk with me about something.

- The fact that you were bolder than usual, might be a good thing, don't you think?

- I made a fool of myself!

- Maybe she liked it! - Conrad looked at the remaining of pur dinner and chuckled.

- Oh... Those kids tricked us. Well at least it was tasty. - I held my head while I watched Conrad leaning back onto his bed.

- How can you be so calm?! - he shrugged.

- Nothing horrible happened, you just flirted with the woman you like, just like a grown up! I'm so proud of you! - he said dramatically. I threw a piece of dry bread against his head and said.

-I didn't know we brought Sébastien with us! - my brother was the one who enjoyed my teasing and suffering.

- It is a knight's greatest glory to represent his king while he is on a mission in another Empire! - he said and that was all I could handle right now. I got dressed and rushed to the town hall. Elidi was sitting at her desk with a huge, mischievous smile and a mug with weird green colored liquid in front of her.

- My lady.- I said with a slight bow and she giggled.

- So the effects of the mushroom faded, that's great. This drink is horrible and I didn't want to force you to drink it. - I straighten up and took a seat in front of her desk.

- Thank you for thinking of my well-being. - I said and felt ashamed of what previously happened. She might think I'm a jerk.

- I was thinking of your alliance offer. - I jumped up and covered her mouth.

- Please think it over! What happened this morning never happened to me before! We were tricked! - her eyes shined brightly and her breath tickled my palm. Elidi peeled my fingers off of her mouth and I couldn't take my eyes of her red lips.

- I wanted to accept it. - my jaw dropped.

- Really? - she nodded. I sat back.

- What convinced you? - I asked and she took a deep breath.

- This might sound selfish or cowardly, but I don't want to fight. I don't want to kill anyone. With your help, I can use my powers to protect our people and restore my Empire's prosperity...

- Without blood tainting your soul and hands... - I finished her sentence and she nodded. I extended my hand and she shook it. I looked into her eyes and said.

- I know that I found something special here. - I kissed the top of her hand and she laughed. In a sexy and teasing voice she asked while with her free hand, Elidi played with her curls.

- You mean, apart from the mushrooms?

- I'll never clear my name of that, right? - she laughed and her laughter was contagious. This is going to be something magical.
