15AS HE DROVE CAUTIOUSLY through the unfamiliar street, Dennis gently tapped Katherine’s shoulder to wake her up and tell her they were now entering the town proper. It took several seconds before Katherine realized she was in the car with Dennis beside her and Phirun at the back. Instinctively, she looked out of the window to search for something familiar. She saw something she thought she recognized, but not from a memory of a personal experience. She had not been here before, but she had seen photos of this historical fort built during the Spanish period—Kutang San Diego.
