SILAS’S POV After landing a punch on Lucas’s face and taking Aurora’s phone, she was now getting in my car, with a grim expression on her face. My lips still tingled from our encounter. In the light, I needed Aurora to hate me. But I found myself giving in to my desires when the lights were out. It’s how I could have my cake and eat it, too. And the cake was f*****g delicious. The question was…how can I get her alone in the dark again? Thoughts of sneaking into her room at night came up, I pushed that aside. I wasn’t going to break into her room. But how could I get a repeat of tonight? I was silent as I backed the car up, noting her arms crossed. I braked. “Where’s your seatbelt?” “Don’t worry about me. Just drive.” I reached over her, grabbed the seatbelt, and snapped it into place.
