Chapter 13
Gavin manages to catch a short nap during the movie, despite Evie’s loud, off-key singing in the seat beside him. Luckily the theater is mostly empty—the movie’s been out a while, and this isn’t the first time Evie’s seen it, which is why she knows all the words to all the songs. Afterwards, on the drive back to his apartment, she continues to sing for him, even though he doesn’t ask her to. He doesn’t want to discourage her because he knows she likes the sound of her own voice, but she’s in no danger of being discovered by a talent scout any time soon.
