Vampire Mate

Prologue

Scarlett Winters

I was so excited since I’m turning 16 by tonight. I was in my bed staring the walls for no reason. I smiled to myself thinking of finding my mate soon. I had heard many stories from my mother, Grace Winters, that mates are destined to be together until death. I’m so eager to find my mate after watching my parents love for each other these past years. They are in so much love where they cannot live without each other for some time.

“Are you excited my dear?” I heard my fathers, Alpha Xavier Winters, voice at the door. I’m the only child of their love life.

I felt shy and answered,” A Little bit”.

My father knew about my excited and laughed out loud.

“But dad where is my gift for my birthday daddy?” I cried loud and he started to laugh more and my mother peaked inside.

I pouted and my dad kissed my cheeks to show his love for me.

“Your birthday is tomorrow my dear” He said in my tone.

I again pouted and complained to my mother, ”Mommmm”.

My mom started to laugh joining with her husband.

I was just flabbergasted how they are still in love with each other after so many years of marriage life.

But suddenly I had this nervous feeling and my mother saw my face and asked me what’s wrong. I shrugged and answered,” I’m so anxious, what if my mate turns out to be a s**t and I got rejected my him”.

I was so anxious which made me sweat harder.

My mother realized how anxious I’m and sat beside me in my bed and patted my back, “ Don’t over think yourself dear everything will turn out to be good, you will be loved. You are the most beautiful girl. No will will reject you my dear, don't be scared”

My father’s eyes turned into something unexpected and he growled,” Then he will have to deal with me”.

I was so happy and suddenly I hugged both of them and kissed their cheeks. I said I love them both more and more.

My parents have arranged my birthday celebration for tomorrow and I’m too excited about that since my parents have invited all my friends and relatives and single male werewolves for tomorrow’s celebration(It was my our ritual).

My father and mother left my room after sometime.

I was just thinking what is about to come tomorrow since all the male werewolves will be there whether I will find my mate or not.

I just gave up from my occupied thoughts and went to the balcony; I was mesmerized by the nature every time I saw it. I just heard a howl which means the surroundings is clear.

My father is very keen in watching about our pack, so he has made his beta to guard the cost and notice him once a while.

I returned to my bed excited about tomorrow and drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
