Prologue

Faye has only one person that is dear to her in the whole wide world – her little sister. So, when her uncle threatens to kill her, she agrees to go on a deadly mission, knowing that it will result in her own death. However, she is ready to do a lot to survive....

The Alpha King Kieran Grayson has many enemies. So many that assassination attempts are not new to him. When he uncovers yet another plot to take him off the chessboard, he finds out that a daughter of his family’s old enemy is in the centre of it. The girl is ready to do anything to kill him, yet he has a way better offer for her.

“Pretend to be my mate,” he said and Faye’s lips parted in shock. He couldn’t be serious, could he?

“Why the hell would I do that?” she snapped at him, “You are not stupid! You already know why I am really here.”

This was either a cruel joke or some kind of a trap.

“Of course I do,” he chuckled darkly, “I even know why you agreed to this. But what if I have a better deal for you than your uncle? Pretend to be my mate and I will grant you one wish….”

Two people who hate each other have to pretend to be in love in the enemy's lair. Will they help each other or will they set each other up? When stakes are high is every wolf for himself or can they work together?
