BRETT

I can't stay at the house. In my room. Thinking about what are they doing. It's making me go nuts, so I sneaked out of the house and took a walk in my wolf form. But it didn't help clear my mind after circling the borders.

I want to go somewhere far. Where I can't feel Chad. Maybe it'll make me feel a lot better because it's making me go crazy.

I left the pack land and speed up ahead. I don't know where to go but I don't care where.

I just kept on running away to an aimless direction for I don't know how long until I can hear the sound of the water. I'm getting nearer to the sea so I increased my pacing even though my legs were growing tired.

I went down a steep way before I arrived and saw the water, and the moon above was the only light and it made the small waves sparkle.

I dug my paws on the cold sand before I shifted back to human and stared at the water. I shivered from the cold ocean breeze and walked closer until my feet were hit by the water line. But the coldness didn't stop me from walking farther inside the waters.

Maybe I just needed a cold bath to cool my head.

I swam and just enjoyed the water since it's been a while. I swam until I got tired so I turned and float on my back and spread my arms, staying still, letting the wave take me.

Different kinds of thoughts were running inside my mind and it pains me to think of Chad. I wondered when will he accept me. . . or maybe he won't. Because his heart still belongs to Bryan.

Come to think of it, they broke up not because their relationship didn't work, but because of me. Bryan chose to let go of Chad so I can feel better.

To save me.

I dipped my head on the water for a few seconds before I float upright when my right leg had muscle cramps and it seriously hurts like hell.

"Fvck!" I groaned as I forced to stretched my leg straight and tried to swim to the shore's direction.

Who wouldn't have cramps in that very cold water!

I was gritting my teeth as I slowly swam myself up to the shore. I sat on the sand and stretched my right leg as I bent my body down as I held my toes and pulled my feet. I groaned when it hurts.

"Fvcking muscle cramps!" I exclaimed while pulling my foot for long minutes.

"Fvck." I muttered as I let go of my foot and laid my back on the cold sand.

I exhaled sharply as I looked at the sky. I can only see a few stars and the moon, of course.

I just felt how tired I was and I don't want to move even a muscle. I just closed my eyes and no matter how cold it was, I fell asleep and it made me thought that it would better if Chad was there with me to warm me up.

I woke up when I felt the wave hit my ankles making me snapped my eyes open. The sun was already shinning and I could say that it's already eight in the morning. I was still in the same position when I fell asleep last night and it's hurting my back.

How the hell did I fell asleep in that place?

I sighed and stayed still, trying to think if I should go home or not. When I smelt something good. And it's getting stronger and stronger making me squeezed my eyes shut.

". . .rett!" I heard Chad making me glanced on my right side.

Chad was running on the sand, towards me making me chuckle.

There's no way it's fvcking true.

"Brett!" He called again as he kept on running towards me.

He looked so real to me and I just watched him as he kept on calling my name and he suddenly fell on his knees when he was a meter away from me.

I can hear the loud beating of his heart and he looked worried.

"How could you leave me like that." He said as he crawled and surprised me when he suddenly slapped my cheek, waking me up from the reality.

Chad was really there.

And I was even surprised when he started crying making me sat straight and I don't know what to do to stop him from crying, so I just patted his head and I think it worked because he stopped and raised his head to look at me.

He didn't give me a second to tell how much I wanted to wipe those tears away when he leaned and pressed our lips together. He pulled away and I looked at him in confusion.

"Why are you acting like that?" I asked because it's too good to be true.

I can see his face started on blushing making me frown.

"B-because we're mates." He said and I just can't believe what I just heard. I saw him checking me before he looked away.

"Did Bryan convinced you again?" I just suddenly asked. It just went out of my mouth.

"No!" He stood and removed his coat and gave it to me.

"I don't need it." I said and he was about to protest when I shifted on my wolf form making him jumped in surprised. I chuckled in my head when I saw his reaction.

And he was still afraid on seeing my wolf making me sigh and started walking in the sand. I was just surprised when Chad ran his hand on my fur making me look at him and he instantly raised his arms in surrender, afraid that I might jump at him.

I sat on the sand and started panting. Chad smiled and cautiously reached his hand on me. He patted my head making me feel so happy that I licked his arm. Chad screamed and laughed so loud and I jumped at him, throwing him on the sand and I licked his face.

"Brett. . . stop." Chad said between laughter. I stopped and Chad caressed my muzzle, touched my eyes and then my ears. "You're beautiful."

I rubbed my nose on him and he laughed.

"It's wet!" He said.

I get off him and I saw Bryan waiting for us. I waited for Chad to stand up and we walked together.

Chad went to Bryan and they hugged making me snort inside. Are they going to get back together again because they already got me?

I stayed on my wolf as we traveled back to the pack land with Bryan's car and Chad and I were sitting on the backseat and he can't keep his hands on himself. He kept on ruffling my furs, and I'm not complaining.

"I think I'll get a dog." He said making me growl and he laughed, and Bryan too.

We're not dogs for fvck's sake. And why would he get one when he already got a wolf?

Chad and I walked to my room and was left to tell mom and dad where was I and they needed an explanation later.

I shifted back when I heard the click sound when Chad locked the door. And he was so surprised when he saw me.

I can't help but smirked when his eyes went down, checking me there. And I turned around before it'll melt and went to take a shower.

Chad was laying down on my bed when I finish my shower and went out of the bathroom and seeing him sleeping on my bed made me smile. A huge smile. And I hid it when Chad opened his eyes. I turned to look for clothes to wear.

"Sorry, I doze off on your bed." He said.

"No, it's okay. You can sleep if you're tired." I said as I slipped my boxers on and faced Chad who was sitting on the edge of the bed and I could tell that he was looking at me when my back was on him. He looked away. "How did you find me?"

"I don't know." He said and he watched me wore my shorts. "I just know where to go." He stood.

"Why did you kissed me?" I asked and I took a step towards him. He was trying his hard to fight his nervousness.

"I-I don't k—"

"Don't tell you don't know either." I cut him and I stopped inches away from him and raised his chin.

Seeing and feeling him that close hurts. It hurts inside, not to be able to hold him so tight like I want to or kiss him passionately or make love. I want him so much, but he's so far away.

"Does it hurt to be this near?" I asked and I placed my hand on his chest. "Does it hurt here too? Do you feel the same w—"

"Yes." He cut. "It hurts seeing you. Seeing you only and not to be able to touch you."

I shivered when his cold fingers brushed on my arm, up to my shoulder and rest it there.

"I don't know why I'm fee—"

I pulled him closer to me and I can hear our loud heartbeats. I can't believe that was how it felt like to have your mate.

Chad watched me as I leaned my head down to his, slowly, giving him time to think. I paused and glanced at him and his eyes were saying what are you fvcking waiting for? making me smile before I captured his lips.

Chad snaked his arms over my neck, pulling me close as he kissed me back.

It was my first time kissing someone that gentle and slow as if we have all the time in that fvcked up world. I placed my hand on the back of his head and deepened the kiss. Chad pulled back in surprise when I tried to use my tongue.

I caressed his cheek with my thumb and looked at him as I tried to kiss him again. And I worked my tongue, licking his lips until he let me in and the kiss went wild. We then started on rubbing our bodies together and I never felt so alive and hot. I want him and I know he also felt the same way.

I pulled our bodies down on the bed and his hands wandered down on my body, exploring every muscle and I released a low moan between the kiss.

I think it's the same feeling as getting drunk. And it was starting to feel good and hot when mom's voice and knocks echoed in the room.

"Boys! Breakfast!"

I pulled away and looked at Chad who was flushing and he looked so adorable.

"Boys!"

I groaned and Chad chuckled.

"Coming!"

"Don't you come without protection! You're too early to have kids!" She said making me laugh as I get up and Chad was already as red as tomatoes.

"She's joking. Well, maybe except for the condom." I said. "C'mon, let's have breakfast."

I held his hand as we walked out of the room. I raised and kissed the back of his hand. I smiled when he blushed and he smiled shyly at me.
