Teal had to deal with the consequences of being the child that no one wanted, she was a shameful mistake that was being granted a chance at life. The wolves made it a point of their duty to remind her why she needed to be grateful that she had crumbs to feed on and a house to sleep inside. How they treated her didn’t matter and shouldn’t bother her. She had to deal with the stigma of her mother being the pack’s go-to release point and the stigma of being a mistake that could have been avoided if her mother didn’t choose to be dramatic. Everything came crumbling down when she found out that she was mated to the Crown Prince of the pack.

Death was better than this existence. That void was the best option that could guarantee the peace that one craved so much. Death often comes with so much courage, and that was what she never had.   It was difficult to leave the house nowadays; it had always been difficult to leave the house. The terror that glowed in the glare of the pack had always been her concern. Not just that hatred sat on the tip of their tongue as it was from one disdain to the other. She was tired of it and hoped it would change. Sorrow was just not in the song that filled her ears on a very cool evening as she took a run to clear her thoughts. Sorrow was in the blood that spilled on the day she was born; the excitement that was held in her mother's agenda to have a lost child like her. Sorrow is in the memories that fill her each time she thinks of her mother and the things she could have done better. She hated herself, hated this life, but lacked the courage to grab the bull by the horns. Disdain for her is no longer something that can be hidden; instead, she was the one who tried to hide, half the time wondering when the suffering would end. Apparently never.   She pulled up her hoodie as she jogged down the rocky path she always ran through. It's been up to an hour since she's been running through, and it seemed she was going up high on the mountain. As she jogged, she winced half the time due to the injuries she sustained the previous day. It would have been better if it had only been the day before, but she had been injured in her abdomen, back, and arms for the past two weeks. It hurt more than anything she had ever taken in before. It was how she sought help as she tried to save her own life.   She couldn't count how many times she had passed out and found herself still lying on the ground till she had regained consciousness. She was a plague in this part of the world and she never understood how this was her fault in the first place. She cursed herself for ever being born or having a mother like that, who could care less about what she was going through. She remembered the times when nothing good ever came out of the conversations they had, not even a hand to fight off those that adorned her because of her irresponsibility. She hated the fact that her mother was nothing but a pack w***e, which made her unwanted.   She had never had a father figure in her life, nor had she ever felt love. She was indeed miserable and a bastard and will be seen that way for the rest of her life.   "Let's leave here, move to another pack to start afresh." She often pleaded with her mother, while it was still early in all this mess. You can't leave the pack you were born into. This is your home now. You have to accept it. " Not that Brielle treated her badly as her mother, but her nonchalant attitude was indeed a thorn in her flesh. It showed her that she was alone. She has always been alone.   Any child born out of the ties of mating was considered an outcast and illegitimate. This was the number one rule in the Wolfdale pack and Alpha Kenan was ruthless enough to ensure that members of his pack adhered to such a rule that when he broke it, no-one dared throw a stone to castigate his actions because they would forever be under him and there was nothing they could do about it. Instead, they placed blame on the illegitimate child of Alpha Kenan. These unfair rules were what made Teal hate the system because it was so unjust. They were children of the moon. Nothing about them was just or fair. Even in the political system of the wolves in all regions, power and that dangerous call to the wild will always be a threat to the well-being of innocent lives. This l**t for power made Wolfdale the lowest ranked pack in all of history. The question was, were they interested in changing that?   Brielle always talked about not remembering much from the night she had with Alpha Kanan, and she didn't think anything would ever come out of that one night stand that ruined both their lives and the Alpha cared less for either of them. It hurt and hurt over again to not be reminded of the disappointment she had brought upon herself. Teal was that constant reminder, and she left her alone. Teal woke up only to find her mom gone, no leftover words to help trace her, no trail to even find her with. As a lone wolf, Teal had always been a good tracker, but she failed at finding her mom, or maybe Brielle was way better at hiding from the shame she called her daughter. a mistake.   Teal, after running for over an hour, stopped as she saw eyes throwing daggers at her, and she wondered if there was a danger zone that she wasn't supposed to venture into. Everywhere was a danger zone for her and people like her. She just had to know where and who to stay away from. In every danger zone she had found herself in, she never countered with a punch because she had always been too weak to, too tired to lift a fist of defence. Her will had already been broken a long time ago, and it was useless to try to retrieve it. The music blaring in her ears soon became noise that made her wince at the pain that stung her ears. She heard it all, the vile words. She gulped in fear, trying to think of what to do. A blonde, who soon passed by her with her g**g of girls, bumped into her intentionally until she fell to the ground and got back up without a word. It was that simple. Retaliate, and it may be the last time you ever see the light of day. Hannah stopped by with her friends, her hands hanging in the air and the other girls surrounding her.   "See who we have here." she called, looking at Teal with disgust and hatred. "If it isn't the bastard child of my father." Teal gritted her teeth, but she swallowed her words back down without actually spitting them out. The other girls erupted in laughter, which brought out a chuckle from Hannah. Hannah flipped her hair backwards , standing on her hips side to side. She cannot be underestimated because she was nothing more than the apple of her father's eyes and could not be touched. "Look at how disgusting you are, just like your mother. You know, I wondered why she left. " She placed her finger under her lips, feigning to be in deep thought. "She probably had to run from you because you were a hindrance to her freedom as a w***e. Maybe she's off to seduce other Alphas just as she did to my father. " "Our father" was all Teal could say inside of her. She didn't dare because she hasn't healed from her bruises and there's no telling what Hannah and her minions would do to her. She may not survive, because the strength of an Aloha blood cannot be compared to an Omega, even a mere Omega like Teal. I have to go. She managed to say But they closed in on her more. Hannah slapped her for the words that were forced out of her in order to be saved from them. When I am talking, you don't open your filthy mouth to utter a word before me. You are a curse, and curses are to be seen as trash. That's who you will ever be. " She said glaring at her. She spat at Teal before snapping her fingers for the others to follow her.   Teal sighed, not knowing how to react to all of what had just happened. Of course she did nothing, but the only crime that seemed to exist was her existence, which she didn't get to choose. If she had had the chance, what would she have gone for instead? That question lingered more than the cold air that filled her lungs. She didn't even get to enjoy the weather she came out for; it was always a starting point for clearing her head. She cleaned herself up as she made her way further to the cliff, which she was already near.   She soon got to the cliff, and it felt like she had gotten to the end already. There was something about the other side of the cliff that called her to take a leap and leave the rest to gravity. It wasn't the first time it had happened, and she would have loved to try it again, to feel lightheaded. The burden was slowly lifting off her shoulder. She reminisced on all the names she had ever been called. Bastard, seed of a w***e, and all others that they went far enough to conclude that she's just like her mother. Was this why Brielle left? She would not be able to stand the shame that was brought upon her only child because of her mistake. Teal was still accustomed to calling her mom, even after she was abandoned.   Too much agony crawled out of her as she cried out. Her insides faltered, her knees were weak, and she couldn't stand anymore than to fall on her feet. She felt the wave of the last straw closing in on her. "I hate it here." She said slowly. She gave up her voice when she chose to scream at the world for the disdain she felt. She stayed there a little while longer, still contemplating if she should go home or just fall to the other side. Courage wasn't imbued in her when she was born. She is the type forced to hide from the world.   As she walked back home, a bunch of packing guys closed in and hit on her as she fought under them, screaming and begging to be freed. It was a battle of the fists until she was too weak to save herself. She was out of breath, digging her fingers into the ground as she tried crawling in between coughs of blood. She didn't know what to do. All she wished for at that point was an end to this trauma.
