the cocoon of lies

Grace was a good girl. she was quiet and hard working. Everyone loved her because of her simplicity. No one was too young or small for her to care for. if any needed her attention Grace will go to any length to ensure she does her best. As she was undergoing study she dreamt of becoming a nurse. She loved their white clean uniforms. How they cared and attended to patients. she saw them as being relentless and committed to their work. They were different from other professions. Whenever Grace visited the hospital, she will spend time with one of her aunts who was a resident midwife. Her aunt worked in the delivery unit. Grace saw her as a role model. Aunt, I want to be like you when I grow up she told her. But you know Grace, the work of a nurse isn't an easy one. we barely find time to be with our family and besides you need to get the proper grades before you can be admitted into the school of nursing. Am not that intelligent like you aunty but am not going to relent in your dream of becoming one? my dream is to put on this white uniform and commit all my life to the job.
