“ Doctor! Here! It's hurting!”
“ Agghh, my leg!”
“ Patient 101’s fever is flaring.”
These voices! Aggh! My head was pounding with them. Straining, I flutter open my eyes to be welcomed by a white ceiling. Where am I?
I move up my hand to feel a sharp pain in my hand.
What's this?
A strange needle was inserted into my hand, and it was covered with white tape. I panic, ready to rip it off, when a soft, calm voice speaks to me.
“It's called an IV. It will help inject antibiotics and other medicines directly into your bloodstream.”
