“What the hell happened to you? You’re behaving like a child!” Laura started on Kovacs, who was sulking like a five-year-old as they were searching for a parking spot.
“Nothing. There isn’t a single f*****g parking place in this shitty downtown!” he replied angrily.
Laura let her head drop and gave a roaring noise, as if she was going to blow any second. She always did this when her partner got her annoyed. Partner, of course, in the sense of work, but they could’ve become partners outside of their professional lives. Laura sometimes felt sorry that they couldn’t hook up, but at times like these, when Kovacs had his tantrums, she thanked the heavens that their relationship had ended differently. On the outside, Kovacs seemed like a manly man, but on the inside he was not
