Here We Go

chapter 9

I woke up with a massive headache as alarms all around me blared loudly. I squinted my eyes only to see the lab was destroyed with a big hole in the floor and everyone was gone. I slowly got up and shook off the pain before heading out to see what was happening.

In the hall I could hear shouting and gunfire from a distance and I started to go toward it. Suddenly five guys dressed differently from Iron Arm ran up and pointed their guns at me about to fire. I quickly raised up my hands and blocked them using a shield made out of wind. When they paused to reload I quickly brought them up in the air and banged two into a wall and three into each other instantly knocking them all unconscious.

I stepped over them and then ran down the hall. I found my way into the main room only to find chaos. The computers were fried and agents were fighting everywhere. Ames and two other agents were behind a desk shooting at the enemy. I quickly raised everyone who wasn't Iron Arm in the the air and made them all fly back into one wall going into a pile of unconscious bodies.

"What's going on Ames?" I asked. "We're being attacked by Eris’s brainwashed men. Jake is in the building somewhere and the engines are failing so the ship is going down. Marcus is trying to fix it right now. And the Giant is out of control somewhere on the ship." Ames said. With that I ran out of the room.

I started going down the hallway and down the stairwells to another floor. I saw some guys from Iron Arm running my way away from danger. So I started running theirs. After a few seconds of running suddenly the Giant and Enyo came out of the wall in front of me and into another one. I paused for a second and turned my head at them. "Glad that didn't take my head off." I said to myself before chasing after them into another corridor.

The Giant had managed to get Enyo off balance and threw her into another wall far away from her hammer. I quickly used the wind to sling the Giant away and I walked over and picked up Enyo’s hammer.

When Enyo got out of the wall I walked over to her about to hand her the hammer when she looked at me with wide eyes and froze up. "What?" I asked. "How-" she started to say when the Giant slammed into us both. I flew into an opposite wall as Enyo. My entire body was hit with a wave of pain as the breathe got knocked out of me. That's going to leave a mark.

I got up and hit the Giant with Enyo’s hammer and she went flying back again that's when Enyo snapped out of it and I handed back her hammer. The Giant started to come at us again and I threw a fireball at his face. Suddenly two of Iron Arms jets were at the glass window and started firing bullets at the Giant. "No Stop!" I yelled. The Giants attention went to them and he got even more angry. I tried to get closer to signal them to stop but Enyo pulled me back. Next thing I knew the Giant had taken out one of the planes and jumped on another.

Enyo and I went to the broken window and saw the Giant blow up the plane and then start to fall and before I could do anything he was out of sight. "He's going to be okay right? I mean Mark has to survive that fall, he said it himself he can't be killed." I said. Enyo just put her hand on my shoulder.

"We can't think about it right now. The enemy is still here." She said. I sighed. "You're right." I said. We started to head back toward the main area when the ship started to turn sideways. Enyo and I lost our balance and fell sliding along the floor and against a wall. "What's happening?" Enyo asked. "The engines." I said. I closed my eyes and started to focus on the wind outside of the ship. Using all my focus, strength, and will power I used the wind to stop the ship from falling. Slowly but surely I managed to get us hovering in the air.

Then I quickly balanced us back evenly. Enyo and I fell back and everything was right again. But I couldn't stop holding my concentration or we would fall again. I kept on for a couple of minutes. "Bailey you're bleeding." I heard Enyo say faintly like cotton was in my ears. "Bailey stop!" She shouted. I ignored her. "I have to...keep...us...up." I said trying to hold on as I felt light headed. "You have to Stop! Stop!" Enyo said. And that's when everything went black again.
