I checked the pizza and closed the oven door. Probably another five minutes. At least that gave me enough time to ensure the table was ready. I wanted tonight to be perfect. After all, you celebrated your one-year anniversary only once!
Cooper had been out most of the day, running errands, which gave me plenty of time to get everything ready. The past year had been the most wonderful of my life and I wanted to show him how much he meant to me.
It was funny how things work out sometimes. The weekend after we’d met, Cooper’s roommate had announced he was moving in with his girlfriend. Without a second thought, Cooper had asked me to live with him. Some people voiced their disapproval, saying we were going too fast. But we knew we were doing the right thing.
