I woke up the next morning in a king size bed with the softest linen I’d ever touched. My eyes struggled to open as I found the sun shining in through the window to be way too bright to bear. I was only a morning person when I had to be, and right now I didn’t feel like I had to be anything. “Good morning beautiful,” Damian’s deep baritone voice said as I felt the mattress dip next to me, “I’m sorry for waking you, you look so peaceful when you sleep.” I started to push myself into an upright position, propped up against the headboard behind me and I squinted against the obnoxious rays that were warm against my cheek. “Hi,” I said with my voice still hoarse from sleep.
