The next morning I opened my eyes with a smile on my face and as giddy as a teenager. I could jump out of my skin in exuberance. Even the ray of sunshine that penetrated my room through the gap in my curtains seemed to be more golden than before. The tiny dust particles in its way glistened like tiny flecks of silver amidst a sea of gold. As I lay under my covers I touched my fingers to my lips remembering our first kiss, my first kiss, which was everything I’d ever imagined it to be and more. His soft and warm lips covered mine and made them tingle when the spark between us ignited. It wasn’t a passionate kiss, he knew better than to overstep my boundary, it was a tender ‘first kiss’ and it was perfect.
