Alicia stands looking out of her office window taking a short break from her numbers before looking at them with fresh eyes. Noah comes to mind, and she can almost swear that he looked jealous when he saw Liam in the office earlier. She shakes the thought from her mind and sits down in front of her computer again.
There is a soft knock on her door, and she calls for the person to come in. She notices that Susan’s friendly smile doesn’t go all the way to her eyes, which is something she learned at a very young age is something to look for.
People who smile like that always have an agenda of some sort.
“Can I get you anything before I go?” Alicia looks at her watch realizing that it’s the end of the workday, and she shakes her head.
“Okay, then. Have a lovely evening.”
